Family reunited: Woman presumed dead for 34 years stuns relatives after getting in touch on Facebook (Daily Mail)
When Susan Ardron emigrated to South Africa in 1975 communication with her family abruptly ended just a few years later. Completely unaware that she was battling against amnesia following a serious car accident her family presumed she had died.

But now after 34 years, as her memory slowly started to come back, she has stunned her siblings by contacting them on Facebook.
---
A family who reach out to those in need after being homeless themselves have been invaluable in getting Susan on the social network site.
---
Susan’s parents, Colin and Mavis both died in 2009. According to the family they refused to move from the family home in case their daughter ever came looking for them.

Why in the world did her husband not contact her family?!

Her parents had 4 grandchildren! Sure would like to see what his excuse is.

Yes, wondered that too. Bad blood between them, perhaps.

That does not matter. She had a right to be brought back home. Not be abandoned. :(
CHEEP out or easy out for him.

Hope she is home and found all her kids.

Strange story. I wonder what the husband told her family and the kids. Did he tell the kids their mother was dead? The eldest was 9 years old at the time. Did he just leave her there homeless? WTF? Of course with a suspicious mind, one has to question whether the amnesia was really caused by a car accident.
