Mr. Bell attended Vancouver High School in 1937. I am not sure if that is helpful or not but it does list names of classmates.

no family trees, so can't prove the family knows or doesn't.

On the ship manifest, he was 18 and his address was in Walnut Grove, CA. A PO Box.

An Alexander Brown had the same address. Alexander was 21.
 
Looks like the father William F. Bell lived in Wyandotte Kansas in 1910, (he was about in what seems like a boarding house (several people with different names living in the same house). A James E. Bell was his father born in about 1877 and mother was Vena Bell, born in about 1876. Both born in Missouri. An Agnes A. Ekwwad or EKlind (?) who was 18 owned it. She is listed as a niece and single. She was born in Missouri also, and her parents were from Sweden.

Two seemingly unrelated people: Edmond Porte who is 26 years old Described as married and born in Austria. And Katie Ethel Henze who was 17 and born in Germany and single.
