I don't know if anyone has done this yet (I'm a bit behind on reading this thread) but has anyone provided a map that shows where this Pattridge park is related to where her backpack was found and her home? I would appreciate one of the EXCELLENT maps you guys provide :)

I don't even want to think about partial remains. The fact that she was killed is bad enough. The fact that a child predator did this is bad enough.

Bumping from last thread:

I posted earlier but have not received confirmation that this has been discussed. DSP, a former Westminster middle school teacher, was arrested this summer on child *advertiser censored*. He lived in Lakewood, CO, not far from where the body was found. His name and arrest are plainly online.

Is it just me, or does he look an awful lot like the Aravada child enticement UID sketch?

ETA-I checked Jefferson County lockup and he is NOT in their custody. He must be out on bond.

(I did my best with this... her home addy is still only the general area..)

That was my first thought. Then again, being near that shanty looking old mine shaft? Not sure what that building was, but it does look like a place a homeless person might take shelter.

Bringing over:

Do you think the family might already know? I mean, even if LE still has to wait for test results, if the body was clad in or found near clothing that matches what Jessica wore to school that day, wouldn't LE tell the family that rather than making them wait for the more definitive proof?

I had a thought that, perhaps when LE said last night that there were would an update at 6:30am, that they assumed the family may come and positively ID her. Otherwise, what did they expect to change literally overnight? Then maybe the family just couldn't do it - maybe LE advised against it due to her condition, maybe it was just too difficult for them. So they have to now wait on dental records, etc.

I'm just speculating. Just trying to figure out why they scheduled an update at 6:30am, just hours after the update last night, if they had not expected to have new information...

Wow. So there are three people who match that description of the 'candy man':

1) the teacher
2) an RSO in Arvada
3) an RSO whose whereabouts are unknown (someone linked it earlier)

I was saying this at the very end of the previous thread....but I am wondering if LE is thinking that they have a local perp, and maybe even have an idea of who he is, and they now want to observe his actions in response to the body being located. I don't know if that could be but I suppose I am hoping they have the perp under their watch.

I was a little surprised by the early morning presser, because I figured they probably wouldn't have any new info this morning. But I think the point of the presser was to say that searches of open spaces are still ongoing, and the canvas of Jessica's neighborhood is still taking place. In other words, it is business as usual for LE until a positive identification is made. JMO
