Jonesboro Police has issued an advisory alert to be on the lookout for people driving around acting in a manner that presents them as law enforcement.

In the police report, Jonesboro Police were advised of a similar case on October 28th, that the Craighead County Sheriff's Department is investigating.

That incident also began on Matthews Avenue, and the suspect car was a White Ford Crown Victoria.

Jonesboro Police is asking anyone with any information about these incident to call CrimeStoppers at 935-STOP.

BAY, AR (KAIT) – Two men impersonating police officers reportedly followed a young woman and pulled her over near Bay, according to the Craighead County Sheriff's Office.

The woman, 19, told Deputy Greg Beavers that two black men driving a white, unmarked car with a flashing blue light stopped her near U.S. 63 early Sunday morning.

Investigators say the woman did the right thing reporting the incident, and suggest that others follow her example if they are ever suspiciously stopped.

"If a young lady or a female is caught in this predicament, do everything this particular person did," said Gary Etter, an investigator with the sheriff's department. "Keep your windows up, doors locked. Leave, go to a lighted place and contact 911."
