Robbers return wallet after recognizing victim from prison (Wichita Eagle)
Evidently, it sometimes pays to have spent time in prison with the person robbing you.
---
Wichita police Lt. Joe Schroeder said the victim gave this account: The 51-year-old man was walking home from work when two young men approached him. One of the suspects held a large semi-automatic handgun and demanded the man’s wallet and cell phone. He refused to give his cell phone but handed over his wallet.
---
The second suspect realized that he and the victim had been in prison together. The second suspect apologized and returned the wallet.

The victim and the one robber shook hands before the suspects walked away, Schroeder said.

No arrests had been made Thursday. The victim told police he didn't think he could identify the robbers. (AP)

It makes me wonder what kind of reputation the "victim" had while in prison.
