There are quite a few reports on the above link...the latest report is dated Nov. 6, 2012

The unconfirmed sighting is the strongest clue Donny’s family has had in weeks, following his disappearance from an Echuca campsite on September 1.

Now more than two months since the 16-year-old ran off into the darkness, the Lake Boga sighting may hold new hope for a family torn apart by their missing son and brother.

Oh my...

this young man has been missing since September 1st.... :(

His family must be sick with worry!

Handsome young man.... I truly hope he's okay and finds his way home or at least phones his folks.

Donny turns 17 but no party for family of missing teen

THE family of missing Ballarat teenager Donny Govan should have been telling him to have a happy 17th birthday, but yesterday they grieved his absence instead.

Nearly six months since his disappearance from a Murray River campsite, Donny’s whereabouts remains a mystery.

Ballarat region families renew calls for information on missing loved ones

THE sisters of missing Linton teenager Donald Govan have again appealed for information on the seven month anniversary of his disappearance.

Rachael O’Keane and Jacinta Jackson particularly urged Ballarat people heading to the Murray River to keep an eye out for the now 17-year-old, who disappeared from an Echuca campsite on September 1 last year.

The family of missing teenager Donny Govan hopes their story, which will air on SBS’s Insight next week, will help to bring their loved one home.

His story appeared briefly on Channel 7’s Today Tonight last year and is also expected to screen on Channel 10’s new program Wanted in coming weeks.

‘‘The more people we get involved and may recognise him, we feel this is the only way we can get him home.

During filming for Insight, Donny’s family met other families with missing loved ones.

‘‘It was good for us to talk to other families going through the same thing, because it lets you know you’re not alone,’’ Ms O’Keane said.

It's actually really sad these kids are considered run-aways and therefore get no media coverage at all. This segment is 1 year on, when really, it should have been far sooner. I must wonder where Donny is, and sure hope he is still alive out there.

THE family of missing teen Donny Govan has spent the past year alive, but not living.
Long-term plans have been put on hold as the Ballarat family waits to hear from their brother and son who went missing one year ago today.

The polite but mischievous 16-year-old was doted on by his siblings, especially his four older sisters who always looked out him.

It was his first holiday ever and his sister invited him on her camping trip with HER friends..

One year ago sister Rachael O'Keane, 26, decided to take her younger brother camping for the weekend with friends.

It was a modest trip but Donny's first real holiday.

But as one or two drinks turned into three or four, an argument broke out and in a heated exchange Donny disappeared into dense bush.

"I wish I had never taken him on that trip," Rachael said. "None of this would have happened."

Why was it his first holiday at this age and not his sister's?

I've only just found this, but I've followed the case and often wonder where on earth Donny is... I'll read all the links and brush up on the details and then post my theory.

Missing without a trace - YouTube This is a link to the Today Tonight clip.

He was behaving eratically the night before as well as the night he dissapeared, he was also drinking and smoking weed.

I honestly think he's still alive and living off the grid.

I don't understand why they use that photo of him wearing that flightpath tshirt - other than the obvious that he was wearing that shirt that night. But he looks so angry in that pic. It's not a photo that will engage people, a lot of people would just see an angry young man and not feel compelled to help search.

I know of this family and regularly see his facebook "search" page shared by my friends. I don't know why I didn't think to search on here for a thread for him.

Going on 2 years now. I really hope he is alive. I don't think that much effort was put into finding him which is a really terrible thing.
