Do you believe these cases are related?
Do you believe these cases are related?
I'm undecided. Here's how my uncertainty breaks down:
Connections
1. SG was an online escort, like our other 4 victims.
2. The location of her body was very close to the GB4 trophy case.
3. I assume SG's body could be viewed on a regular basis by someone who knew where to look, and had a desire to admire his handiwork.
4. Whatever the reason, SG definitely felt that her life was in danger. There's no disputing that.
Lack Of Connections
1. We do not know SG's cause of death. We know LISK asphyxiated his victims, and placed them in burlap bags before dumping them. We see none of that with SG. Is it possible she was ashyxiated? I think so. But we have nothing concrete to file that away as fact. Is it possible her killer wasn't able to place her in burlap? Yes. But again, we have no way of knowing.
2. At this point, with the information available to us, we can not even reasonably conclude that SG was murdered. Setting aside gut feelings, what proof do we have?
I can't connect SG to the GB4 without knowing how she died. And since LE isn't inclined to tell us how she died...I'm stuck on the fence.
This is exactly what I think, except I'd add another item to your first list. I think it's very suggestive that the final two GB4 victims were killed in relatively rapid succession after Shannan Gilbert's disappearance. They both also left their cell phones behind. It's almost as if the killer knew about Shannan's 911 call and changed his M.O. in response, while at the same time ramping up the frequency of the murders.
Agreed, but if you take SG out of the picture, you could just as easily argue that the cell phone fiasco with Melissa's phone was the trigger. :dunno:
Hi MK!
Great idea for a poll! Can you start one that asks if we think the GB4 and AC4 are related? I think it might start an interesting discussion...I'm personally "undecided" on that one...let's discuss it
Another poll might ask if we think the GB4 are related to Manorville...again, I'm "undecided" but I am leaning towards the GB4 being separate from Manorville.
IMO, Melissa's phone is the biggest insight we have into this creeps head...
One more suggestion: Start a thread to discuss MW's pimp.
They put him in jail - to me that says he's someone who should be looked at in more detail - let's start a Gilgo Beach big pimpin' thread...sheesh...these guys are in msm and we should have really researched/sleuthed them already - in detail...it's never too late! Maybe just a "big pimpin' thread so as to include the AC victims pimps! IMO DS (AC's roommate/pimp) has always known more than he said...MP and HA also fit this category.
Are you asking ME to start all those threads and polls? :floorlaugh:
(You do know I'm board challenged, right?)
ETA: Well, I managed to figure out how to do a poll. It's pretty raggedy, but it's there.
OMG, I thought MK started that poll - today it looks like CriminalMinds started it. Please forgive, I was heavily medicated (but thought I was fine lol).
The foreigner already asked those questions...about the connections between the vics.
I'm still UTI so I won't be posting anymore today...heh heh Sorry for the confusion -
:floorlaugh: Touche'!Take more meds, Curious. We could use the comic relief. :floorlaugh:

The problem with that is aside from superficial similarities (such as working in the sex trade and being found in the same general area), there is no MO correlation between SG and GB4 at all. None.
If there was to be a link made, some more specific correlation would be required, and there isn't any.
" superficial similarities", surely, you jest?
You're kidding, right? There's thousands of plumbers, too, and bakers and cab drivers - but not found dead in the brush in one small area. And don't say they were all escorts. There are tens of thousands of escorts in the greater metropolitan area.
It's a convenient place to dump dead hookers.Obviously it is a convienent place to hide bodies.
In the absence of evidence you don't have much more than the "this is probably what happened" theory. Evidence doesnt just materialize, it is either there or it isn't.
