The victim has been named locally as Riley Turner, while his brother is called Kenzie.

The youngster was carried out of the house by his distraught stepfather as he screamed: 'Somebody please help.'

The boy, whose twin brother was not hurt in the incident, was said by a neighbour to have been stabbed in the neck and body as he slept alongside his identical twin brother.

A manhunt was launched and seven hours later police in Keighley, West Yorkshire, arrested a 32-year-old man in a railway tunnel on suspicion of murder.

No word yet on how the arrested man is related to the family.

This is horrifying. I pity the surviving 4-year-old when he realizes that his little twin brother is gone forever. Going to need some long-time help to adjust to a different world.

awful, just awful.

Poor little fella. Prayers for his family, especially his twin. Adjusting to life without his twin will be hard plus the possibility of survivor guilt comes into play down the road as he gets older.

From the Keighley News:

"Murder inquiry into death of four-year-old Keighley boy"

See comments below. A very strange comment by poster Mixter, mentioning knives, a family party and children upstairs.

There hasn't been a hint yet that I've seen that the family might have known the murderer, but the cops sure seemed to have known who they were looking for. Time will tell.

Prayers for this poor family. This mom will have a lot to deal with, not just the death of a son, but the effect of that death on the surviving twin, and a two-month-old baby to care for, to boot. That's a lot, and I hope she gets plenty of help.

From February 2014:

A man who murdered a four-year-old boy in a "savage and sadistic" attack has been given a whole-life sentence.

Former soldier Anwar Rosser, 33, was staying with Riley Turner's family at their home in Keighley, West Yorkshire, when he killed the sleeping child.

Bradford Crown Court heard it might never be known why Rosser, who was described as a "psychotic, bullying alcoholic", carried out the attack.
