Attention Please!

Could we please stick to the subject at hand.

Please stick to main stream media articles.

Definitely keep any political overtones out of the discussion. This is NOT a political issue but a human issue.

Highway 38 is still closed. The others appear to be open.

I read an interesting post on Yahoo about a reporter being wounded... but now Yahoo seems to have closed their comments section !

reporter was caught in the middle of gun fire while he was reporting - be made it out safe

Holy sheesh a neighbor (next to the cabin where Dorner was holed up) said it was only 300 yards from the burned out truck! How is it possible they wouldn't check the cabins CLOSEST to the truck!

2 other officers hit who are on their way to the hospital.

Deputies are discussing the possibility that he got away by stealing another vehicle... possibly even a Sheriff's patrol car.
WTF?!

They HAVE to confirm whether or not he is in that cabin!

Deputies are also racing DOWN the mountain, away from the cabin scene. (Going to the hospital or somewhere else?)

My guess on that is he had ' exhausted all appeals' or something like that . He was fighting the department and somehow recently realized it was no use and he would not be winning. I don't know if winning meant getting his job back? or winning a civil suit? But someone had been helping him ( i believe the woman shot earliest with her husband) and that was some type of litigation against the department IF I'm not mistaken. Don't quote me on that .

The murdered woman's dad was his lawyer. He didn't kill the lawyer though, but his daughter and her husband, stating that because he himself had no family, the lawyer doesn't deserve to have one either.

There was also mention that he telephoned the lawyer sometime after the kills and taunted the father by saying something to the effect of "You're not very good at protecting your daughter, are you."

Crazy just crazy, FOX news reporting that it is looking like he could have been just yards away from the command center.

Significant amount of tear gas at cabin now. No gunfire heard. Per KCal9

Discussing this now on CNN

II wouldn't mind seeing him shot to death
I have no desire to see him, or anyone else, victim or perp, for that matter, shot to death. In fact, I think that is the one thing that is wrong with our society. People want to see the gore. Our society calls for it. Demands it. And worships it. The pure hatred and wish for violence that surrounds cases like these is breathtakingly frightening.

CHP officer still refuses to comment on the condition of injured officers.

The lawyer was also a cop... and the fiance was also a cop.
