Sometimes crimes are so disgusting, that I don't even want to post them. Then, I remember that this woman and her son deserve justice.

The Wilkes County Sheriff’s Office said it received missing person reports for 33-year-old Kelly Pruitt and her son, Kevin Hurley. They were found dead in their home when investigators served a search warrant there.

Officials said warrants have been issued for 33-year-old Jason Pardue for two counts of murder, two counts of first-degree sex offense with a minor under 13 and one count of incest.

The Wilkes Sheriff's Department issued a press release about a double homicide at mid-morning Friday

Mr. Pardue’s whereabouts are unknown at this time, but he is believed to be in Wilkes County. Mr. Pardue may be operating a black 1998 Ford Explorer 2 door with a Kentucky license plate number: 133HKL. Mr. Pardue has an extensive criminal history and should be considered extremely dangerous. If you have any information as to his whereabouts, please contact the Wilkes County Sheriff’s Office immediately at 336-838-9111 or call 911.
 
Covering up the sex crimes would likely be the motive for murder.

A Broadway man avoided a possible death sentence Tuesday morning when he pleaded guilty to two counts of first-degree murder in the March 10, 2013 stabbing death of his girlfriend and the suffocation death of her eight-year-old son.

Jason Ryan Pardue, 33, was sentenced in Wilkes Superior Court by Judge William Z. Wood Jr. to two consecutive sentences of life without possibility of parole.

Pardue also pleaded guilty to two counts of first degree-sex offense and one count of incest in the molestation of his 12-year-old daughter. For these crimes, he was sentenced by Wood to a total of not less than 105 years nor more than 141 years in prison.
