We have a detailed, formal Terms of Service (TOS) posted separately, and that TOS is what you will be held to as a member here. It's long and detailed because it has to be in the world we live in, and you are expected to read it, understand it and abide by it. However, we can sum it up as follows:

1) Be a decent human being;
2) Treat your fellow posters as the decent human beings they are;
3) Keep in mind that whatever you post will likely live on forever, so think before you press "Submit Reply".
4) It's a big world. People will disagree with you. You will disagree with them. This can be done with respect, and that's what we expect.

Please do not discuss rumors. Although SOME rumors turn out to be true in the end, there are also those that are just that 'rumor,' and tend to derail the threads. Until there's a 'link' to verify a circumstance, we ask you do NOT post rumors.

If locals wish to be verified (as local residents with insider information), then we would be able to discuss, unless the information might jeopardize the investigation or case.

Yes, in past threads there had been rumors discussed. Going forward, no rumors. Locals please refrain from posting any insider information unless it can be linked to a valid source, or until you become a verified local member

There is to be no more discussion (or subtle accusations) about verification, verified members or the process in the case thread. If you do not appreciate the input of a "verified" member, treat it as you would any other poster. Take the information or leave it. Use the IGNORE feature if you must!! But please move on!

The moderators do give certain leeway to verified posters, as per our rules and policy.

Other than this, the rules are the same for everyone.

If you have a concern, please contact a moderator.

If the (sometimes) veiled bickering, negative nit picking or seemingly "ganging up" on other members doesn't stop, management will again review this forum and may close if necessary for an extended period of time.

We have many great posters in Allison's sub-forum! And we all want the same thing!

Justice for Allison.

Please consider all the above when posting!

3rd, poor effort LOL

Each new thread makes me stop and think about how many people want to see justice and the truth. 45 threads plus the committal threads! That's a serious amount of opinions, reflection, stories about ourselves, making friends, supporting each other and being united by our need to see justice for Allison. There's also some mighty good sleuthing thrown in there too!

Does anyone remember life before WS??

This is offtopic but OMG!! I just feel the need to share this story.

A SUPREME Court judge has acquitted a Christie Downs woman of the murder of her de facto husband, leaving the dead man's family "astounded".

n a trial by judge alone, prosecutors said Koenig had drained the truck driver's bank accounts and maintained the ruse that he was still alive, while his body decomposed in their shed.

The court had heard Koenig used an anti-depressant medication to kill Mr Ellbourn for his superannuation and a $250,000 "death payment"

Great pick up!
Thank you Amee wowa that's a bit close to home eh? This kind of outcome is what's been haunting me "beyond all reasonable doubt".

I think GBC's original plan was-

Allison went for a walk and was mugged for her phone and abducted. Simple.
I've said this before, yes there were screams heard, that could have happened close to home, while she was being robbed and abducted & then taken by an unknown and then murdered and dumped.
Ok as for the scratches? As GBC said we had a fight and she went for a walk to cool down. (razor)?
Can anything be proven otherwise "beyond all reasonable doubt" as what happened in that court case you quoted?? Can it be proven just coincidence?
I know it's all far fetched in such a quiet leafy area but just look at the outcome of that case, just horrifying!! :what:

Has the trial dates been set yet? Any ideas how long it might take to decide?

Question, the defence chose the witnesses for the committal, yes? Were they the weakest witnesses hoping to make it look like it was a very weak case & the more convincing and stronger witnesses are left for the trial? Surely they didn't choose the most strongest witnesses and evidence for the committal. That would be silly. (I know Jack.)
I'm itching (not from caterpillars) to find out what & who the other witnesses and evidence are awaiting the trial then. Hopefully it will blow everything out of the water with evidence.
Oh just imagine what we have instore!

I wonder if GBC hurt his hand destroying Allison's phone?

Yes I would like to understand what reasonable doubt means. That case mentioned above was quite odd in that the judge admitted on the balance of probabilities she probably did it but it wasnt beyond reasonable doubt. So what's the difference? How (theoretically) does the bc murder compare?

For instance, if the COD can't be determined and her suiciding can't be ruled out as a result would that be reasonable doubt that gbc killed her?

Some people have been convicted without a body, which IMO is THE most important evidence that someone is dead. I think it is the SUM of all evidence that makes it or breaks it.

If GBC had no scratches, bruises, etc. and if he had gone to work that morning and not reported her missing until that evening, maybe I would be inclined to consider that perhaps he had nothing to do with it, but all the inconsistencies and evidence we have seen so far is enough to convince me ... and I could be the average joe bloke being called to Jury Duty for this case. IMO.
