juror list (copy and paste from KBisme

Ok, so I'll start on my notes. First, I couldn't see Jodi from where I was sitting because an interns head was blocking my view of her. I did have a great view of the jury though, so almost all of my notes are about them. I'll first start with adding my take on each of them to Anita's awesome list. I made a list of my own because I wasn't as smart as PASA (she printed Anita's list and had it with her). My comments are in purple.

Jurors

1.Church Lady- Mid 50's, short hair, no make-up, glasses.
This lady looks absolutely disgusted the whole time. I never once saw her look in the direction of JA. Not ONCE. She either stares straight forward or looks at JM.

2.Trump-Guy in 40's, lots of hair, car salesman look.
I called this guy "Comb Over" he had his head resting on his hand almost the whole time. He also never looks at JA. He seemed to be paying attention, but also seemed bored.

3.Housewife-She is a big lady (tall and heavy set, not obese) with a very sweet face, no make-up.
Interesting different view today. I called her the "Angry Neighbor Lady" Lol. I wrote that she follows along, but has a constant "sour puss". I don't know if it's just "her look" or what, but she seemed to be frowning every time I looked at her.

4.Grandpa-Bald, sweet faced older man that looks like my grandpa.
I also named this man Grandpa. He does have a sweet face and seems the "calm" type.

5.Tricolor-Early 30's, short, stylish haircut with three colors, reminds me of one of my hairstylists.
This is the only one I remembered Anita's name for because her hair stood out, Lol. She reminded me of my best friend. She probably gave more facial expressions than any of the others. She is very engaged and took a fair amount of notes.

6.Nancy-Lady in her 50's, lovely face, reminds me of Nancy Reagan with glasses, short sassy haircut.
I called her Spikey Hair. Anita's description is better. She was the only one I saw look at Jodi when the jury first walked in. She took a lot of notes.

7.Paul Rudd-Younger guy, mid-late 20's with spiky hair, sweat jacket, looks like the actor Paul Rudd.
He does look like Paul Rudd, but with shorter hair. He's a good looking young man.

8.The CEO-Good looking man, mid 50's with goatee. Can see him being the jury foreman.
I called this guy "The Dad". He looks nothing like my dad, Lol, but for whatever reason... I got a fatherly feel from him.

9.Willy-Old hippy with long white ponytail, thin, small build.
This guy looked PIZZED the whole time. He seemed to be staring towards the media lady or just into the corner. I only saw him look at JM or JA maybe once.

10.Barb-Female, 40's, has the "sexy librarian" look, wearing a form fitting sweater, slender build and voluptuous. If ANYONE on the jury is offended by disparaging comments regarding breast augmentation, my guess is it would be her. She is the only juror I couldn't see very clearly; just when she entered and exited the courtroom and when I stretched up out of my seat to gawk at her.
I called this lady "Plain Jane" She was very hard to see from where I was, but I could tell she was taking notes quite a bit.

11.Poquito-Little Mexican guy (maybe 5'3) with long graduated pony tail, lots of facial hair and piercings.
I called him "Paco" He was hard to see too, but mostly because he was slouched down in his seat I thought he'd fall off Lol. At one point he was bent over instead of slouching, but still very hard to see.

12.Neil-Early 50's high forehead, glasses, looks very nervous and turns red easily. This is the guy that makes KCL nervous.
I called this guy "Jim" I wrote "very hard to read".

13.The Wrestler-Younger good looking guy, large build.
I called this guy "The Jock" He reminded me a little of Oz on American Pie (Chris Klein).

14.Old potsmoking CPA (I have no idea why I wrote this, i have ZERO recollection of this juror. He did not make any impression on me, other than when I was going down the rows naming them.)
I called this guy Sleepy. He swiveled in his chair a lot and fell asleep at least twice. He was also slouched down in his chair.

15.Elderly Man-This man is definitely the oldest juror, he occasionally uses the headphones to listen to the proceedings that Jodie's Auntie uses.
I called him "Captain" He has a very intense gaze. It's hard to describe but he gives off a stubborn and no bs vibe. Maybe ex military or something?

16.Maureen-Red haired, glasses (the red might be too red to be a natural ginger) If I had to guess one Mormon on the jury, it would be her.
I called her The Secretary. She took a lot of notes and had a "polished" look to her. She had her whole body turned facing Jodi. I barely saw her look at JM. She was the only one that really made me feel nervous at all.

17.Pony Tail-Young girl, pony tail, plain, pony tail and sweats.
I called her frumpy lady. Not in a rude way... it's just the word that came to mind. Very plain. She took a lot of notes.

18.The Artist-Bald, attractive, glasses, 50's-60's, large build, holds his notebook on a binder as if he's going to sketch. He looks around the gallery a lot. I thought we met eyes a couple of times, but who knows, that room is so huge!
This guy also had a very intense gaze. He took some notes. He rubbed his face and tapped his fingers to his lips a lot. He wasn't the only one doing stuff like that, but I'll get into that in my notes.

Ignore the names I threw in there. We should stick with Anita's. I just thought it would be interesting to give different peoples views on them. More to come!

Thank you for the new thread, NurseBeeme! :seeya:

KatieCoolLady, I listened to the radio show last night...awesome. I thought Wendy had a very good point when she pointed out that Jodi described the Ninja's stabbing Travis. Of course Jodi has no memory of knives or stabbing now, but I loved the line when she said what are the odds of someone guessing what happened, when they have NO memory of it. Maybe, since Juan is very busy plotting his cross, Det. Flores could give him a note later? Just wondering. Anyway, you were awesome and together with Wendy gave us such good information and insight. Thanks from me along with all the others. This is the first time I have come back in about a year. I didn't realize how much I missed all the knowledge and input of so many.

What I learned yesterday from listening to Wendy Murphy and reading AZLawyer's posts on the legal thread and then comparing it to observations made in court from observers:

- ALV approaching someone in the gallery (specifically Samantha in this particular instance) is not illegal unless she is trying to broker some kind of deal for the defense (which she likely wasn't). As such she was approaching not as a representative of the defense team, but as an individual. It might be unwelcome (which JM has probably already taken care of), but it's not breaking any particular law.

- Wendy emphasized how what happens in the courtroom is all about winning and creating 'theatre.' That's not news to anyone who follows trials closely, but for those who don't she said it would be a revelation. Adversarial systems being what they are it is part and parcel of the process of case presentation. By the way, that goes for both sides, not just the defense. There are calculated maneuvers on both sides and that is S.O.P.

- Trials are about proving charges and defending against charges. The case belongs to the state, who has the burden of proof. It's not about the victim or victim's family per se but about the process of legal proof beyond a reasonable doubt. Because of the adversarial system, it sets up a dynamic where defenses are given pretty wide latitude. The judge isn't limiting things as much as people would like, but then again, she can only rule on what the state objects to, so if the state is letting things in then it's for a reason (strategic). BTW, Wendy called this case a 'slam-dunk' which is exactly what it is. The only mystery here is what the jury will decide in terms of sentencing. Premeditation has already been proven.

- Wendy said the 'Snow White' line of questioning was confusing and that matched my impression when I watched it. I knew where JM was trying to go but he didn't get there and it wasn't effective as a result. I hope he gets back on track today.

Last night with KCL, if you missed it, Wendy Murphey said " Nothing in the courtroom is an accident Nothing" Very telling indeed. She explained her take on ALV approaching Samantha and KCL was right in her Lioness protection mode she went into. Now after hearing this I am even more excited for today as purposefully Mr. Martinez is going to chew her up and spit her out like bad Sushi. I have so many cartoonish visuals of ohhh lets say, her hair catching on fire, her face melting etc. I am just all fuzzy inside about it. :)

Another day closer to justice for Travis! Thank to those who will be reporting for us today..I better get busy now so I can watch a little later! Go Juan!!

I'm thinking about the computers, I have a hunch about why JA kept insisting TA's pc had a virus-- I bet she put a keylogger program on his pc, keyloggers are perfect for spying on someone, what they do is record every single kestroke that is ever inputted into that computer. This is how she got his passwords. Also, this enabled her to spy on every thing he typed on his computer. She is trying to say the keylogger is a virus, because keyloggers are common viruses that are introduced onto a unsuspecting person's ps with the intent of capturing passwords, banking info , etc. ALso, if her harddrive is broken,,isnt' there a chance that the image is on backup, for eg. when i signed up with a isp, a free feature was having backups directed to an offline server automatically, that would be great!!

WWSNS? (What would Snow White say!)

In her interrogation tape she said something to the effect of - ' I uploaded lots of pics to facebook and myspace and I have lots more but couldn't access them....' Anyone know why she could not get to all her pics?

VALLIE -------------> Excellent thought on the keystroke logger!

May our jaunderful Gallery Girls (and Guys) be surrounded today by people who maintain proper courtroom decorum , who contain their emotions, and who smell fresh and clean.

You courtroom observers are a blessing to us outsiders and we hang on every word of your reported observations and impressions.

It gives us peace of mind to know that PASA is prepared with her bag of necessities and that KCL is keen-eyed and ready to advocate!

hmm, i have to check out the interrogation to see the details of this exchange, if you know where to find that section of the interrogation, i'd like to see thx.
2 thoughts come to mind,

1) Travis discovered the keylogger program on his computer and deleted it
2) her harddrvie was already out of her laptop in her attempts to clean up after herself

Hi guys (ANJ check your email):

Ok I'm going for the pm session AND I've been approached from one of the news shows and may be appearing tonite to discuss this ALV approaching issue.

All I know is I was told by my Victims Rights Attorney that "you as a victim have the right to not be contacted". Well, like all laws, there are descriptions and details so I guess it's you have the right to not be contacted with certain motivations by the "contactor" according to how the law is defined (sigh).

This is no way diminishes my OUTRAGE over what ALV did and find it highly IMPROPER for her to contact a member of Travis' family, uninvited and unwarranted much less right in the middle of their testimony.

Can you imagine if , say, JM's psych expert who we've yet to see, were to testify about Jodi's murderous rage and describing her as deserving of the death penalty (which is essentially what ALV is saying about Travis) and then walking off the stand and right up to Jodi's mother and getting in her face when she's not even looking?

Anyway, the witness, her background and career devotion, the timing, the invasion of personal space...it's just all so egregious to me and descriptive of who she REALLY IS that it needs to go CHECKED not UNCHECKED.

The reporters are discussing it today (I know, one of them just called me) so hopefully we will either see a PUBLIC sanction on ALV by Judge S today or it will get reported. The reporter is also looking for it archived on the feed...I'd love to see it played over and over on TV for people to see it just as I did. YOu will be probably see my bug eyes and jaw drop in the background.

We will see...........in the meantime gonna watch the trial on the feed w/ the rest of you.

From AZ Victims Bill of Rights:

2.1. Victims' bill of rights
Section 2.1. (A) To preserve and protect victims' rights to justice and due process, a victim of crime has a right:
1. To be treated with fairness, respect, and dignity, and to be free from intimidation, harassment, or abuse, throughout the criminal justice process.

has anyone heard anymore about grace wong from in session being questioned regarding the JM picture taking 'issue'....I know the judge was going to review something, but didnt know if this has been handled yet?

It was brought up last Thurs then it didn't happen , someone had to review an exhibit so we might see that today too.

Funny that issue keeps coming up ON CAMERA yet the most egregious act anyone has done (ALV approaching Sam) is handled behind closed doors.

Anyway, so interesting WEndy Murphy's take on it last night on the radio show.
