JA is still convicted of Murder 1, she will stay in her cell, she will not get to do interviews, until the sentencing phase is done.

Just a heads up though, if the family still wants to pursue DP, this will not be done in June. That is just to see where the attorneys stand. To get a new group of jurors for the DP phase will be later.

Reporters said 23 hour lockdown until sentencing is done and decided.

Justice for Travis! We will not give up. We will just not do that! We will weep and mourn but then dry our eyes and look at the bright side. This jury did not say 'Unable to reach a verdict' during guilt/innocence and aggravation phases. Thank the good Lord for that!

We're going to cry, cry and then cry some more but we will get back up and stand by Travis' family. Justice for Travis IS coming. Delays are not denials!

Alexander family needs to file the civil suit, pronto!

All I'm hearing is how HUGE of a win this is for JW and Nurmi. How sickening.

1. Decision made on whether to plea or move on to another penalty phrase.

if onto another penalty phase:

1. Change of lawyers
2. Change of venue

I don't see trial happening anytime before September.

WOW. Obviously there was at least one juror who lied on the juror questionnaire about being able to vote for the death penalty.

If JA isn't a candidate for the DP I don't know who would be?

I am glad her classless family was not there. I could not have stood to see those grinning twins.
Mostly I want the killer to be silenced. And she is.
No interviews.
I hope they plea it out.
NOBODY wants to hear that killer spew her evil madness again.

If decision is to move on to another Penalty phase: Change of Judge.

Nancy being Nancy...no surprise!

Donovan saying the family is upset cause they were told it was just a question. Well, there were other questions and Travis' family showed up. They could have been there and chose not to be. Don't blame the court or anyone else!!!

It is a huge win for them. I doubt it's due to any legal skills so much as just a product of one recalcitrant juror. Either way, it's a "win" in the sense that not being shuttled straight to death row is a win.

Until a few years ago, I used to believe that everything happened for a reason and then something happened in my life that was devastating and changed my life forever and it challenged me to believe in "everything happens for a reason". Days like this remind me of that. However this time in my life also made reaffirmed for me I have a choice in how I use my energy - I can either be sad and angry and vent, something I still choose to do at times or I can try and be positive and use my energy well. And so I'll *try* to keep the faith, I'll be sad for the Alexanders, for JM and for JSS and pray they can all regroup. Justice will still prevail. The CM is still convicted of 1st degree murder, cruelty has been established and so last but not least I'll remind us all of Travis's words:

"The difference between a stumbling block and a stepping stone is the character of the individual walking the path"

Today although we don't feel like it will be a stepping stone towards justice.
