MA - New DNA testing ties Albert DeSalvo to 1964 Boston Strangler Murder

It's been widely theorized for years that DeSalvo was covering for someone. That person is usually said to be George Nassar.

News conference:
Introductions of pertinent LE officers.

Mary Sullivan, last of 11 murders attributed to Albert DeSalvo. The only link has been his confession, which was not admissable in court. No evidence to link DeSalvo UNTIL TODAY.

DeSalvo is a match!!!

Presser starting:

*....Mary Sullivan "raped and murdered and her body desecrated" - the last of 11 murders.

*....DeSalvo's confession was not admissible in court; no forensic evidence until today.

*....familial match made, DNA-wise, after DeSalvo's remains were recently exhumed.

*....developments "bear only on Mary Sullivan's murder."

*....disagreements still exist about other ten murders - whether they were committed by same person.

*...."separate technicians at two outstanding laboratories" both reached same conclusion from samples.

Saw this this morning

http://www.boston.com/metrodesk/201...om-relative/2qzYT8An1picyy2llEDpyH/story.html

"Law enforcement officials announced today that a DNA match had been made between DeSalvo and the murder of 19-year-old Mary Sullivan who had been raped and murdered in her home on Charles Street on Jan, 4, 1964."

50 years after the murder.

If this is in the wrong place, Please feel free to move or edit!

This morning they said that they think one day there will not be any more cld cases?? I don't know about that, But I think it is getting easier the better they understand and collect DNA.
