Please continue here and remember the rules. You can find them right here: The Rules - Websleuths Crime Sleuthing Community AND don't overlook these!!!!

Victim Friendly

Websleuths is a victim friendly forum. Attacking or bashing a victim is not allowed. Discussing victim behavior, good or bad is fine, but do so in a civl and constructive way and ONLY IF IT IS RELEVANT TO THE CASE. Additionally, sleuthing family members that are not suspect is not allowed. Don't make random accusations or post personal information (even if it is public) like parking tickets, address, or first and last names of all their relatives and their neighbors. Also, never "bash" or attack them, or accuse them of involvement. However that does not mean that family members cannot come into discussion as the facts and issues of the case are discussed.

Social Networks

Regarding Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, and other social networking or blog websites: Links may be used to direct posters to view something on a social networking page. But postings on social networking sites are not considered fact; they are rumor. Copying and pasting, or taking screen caps, directly from these pages is not allowed. Paraphrasing is okay. (Exception: If the Twitter or Facebook post belongs to a verified news station, it may be copied. But a link should still be provided.)

Also, social networking pages may only be linked if they are directly related to a case, i.e. the victim or suspect. We don't want to post to someone's mother, brother, employer, milkman, or postal carrier just because they know the main player. We also NEVER link to minor's pages (unless they are the victim). And be sure that the page actually belongs to the person being discussed. Do not link to someone if you are not 100% sure it is the correct person. And if a social networking is set to private and you get in the back way, you may not post what you find. Private means private!

MINORS: Websleuths.com™ does not allow the naming of, or photographs of, minors (children under the age of 18) on the Site unless the child is a missing or deceased person or where law enforcement has identified the minor as a perpetrator of a crime and the minor will be tried as an adult. If a missing child is found and it is learned that such minor was the victim of child exploitation, references to the child’s name and likeness will be removed, and further posting of such information will not be allowed.

Thanks,

Cat

Just a reminder...

No one has been named a suspect or person of interest. Sleuthing and discussing anyone as such is not allowed. You can discuss anyone that has been named in main stream media or thru law enforcement. Rumor is not allowed. You can speculate but only with what is known at this time.

Please continue here...

Saturday, June 15th:
3:00am – “Last seen by roommates” when she left to go to boyfriend’s home (1). Her apartment is on Brown & Hardy (as relayed to us by WS members Goblinsolo & 2Hip2BSquare, found by watching news videos and doing a visual of the apartments in the area) previous reports reported her apartment as being on Ash Avenue (6) *There is a discrepancy here as there was a roommate that did see her after the argument with the boyfriend occurred and Adrienne returned home*
[unknown time] The boyfriend told LE that Adrienne was upset with him for talking to other people at the party and not paying enough attention to her. He said Adrienne asked him to leave but later followed him to his car and said she wanted him to drive her to Scottsdale so they could talk more. The argument continued during the drive and at his home (14). Arteaga said they continued to argue about their relationship, even when they arrived at his house, police said. Arteaga said during their argument inside the house, he stepped out to get some air and when he came back, Salinas was gone, police said. Arteaga said he found Salinas walking toward Indian School Road and told her he would take her home (16). So he gave her a ride to 5th Street & Mill Avenue where she jumped out of his car and walked the rest of the way home (14).
3:20am - Adrienne’s boyfriend called one of her roommates to tell the roommate that Adrienne was walking home so she could meet her (15). The roommate, Rebecca Flores, told LE she went out on her bike to look for Adrienne but didn’t find her until she (Rebecca) returned back to the apartment. Rebecca said that Adrienne was “calmly upset” over the argument with her boyfriend (13).
[unknown time] After Adrienne & Rebecca spoke outside on the grass, Adrienne went upstairs to her room and packed a small bag but Rebecca didn’t see Adrienne leave (13).
3:44am – Police received a 911 call that Adrienne’s car had hit a median at Ash & Rio Salado Parkway. Passerby saw car driving erratically behind her, so she moved over and let the car pass. (4) The witness said the car passed her near the Rio Salado Parkway and struck a curb, flattening both the driver's-side tires.. the car sped off before the witness could check on the driver (13). Adrienne’s car was then driven less than a mile to Brown and Roosevelt. Police say that from there, she walked a ¼ mile back to her apartment where she changed clothes, leaving behind her wallet and keys. (9) Witness says “they” in her 911 call. Operator asked how many people she thought was in the car and the witness said she thought there were two, she thought she saw one in the passenger seat. (10).
4:10-4:17am – Adrienne’s cell phone called the boyfriend 11 times, but he didn’t answer. (4)
4:23am – Adrienne's cell phone called the cab company requesting to be picked up at AMPM. Nearest driver was about 20 minutes away. Cab driver’s name is Tom (11).
4:30am – Person driving to work found naked woman’s body in the street. Not sure if this is related. Near McClintock and Baseline. (2) – this woman has since been identified and her boyfriend has been arrested for murder. Still unknown if related to Adrienne’s disappearance, but I’m keeping this on the timeline just in case, because of the timing.
4:43 or 4:47am – Text sent from Adrienne’s phone to boyfriend’s phone said she was going to his house. (1 & 4)
4:52am – A slender woman was seen in the west parking lot of O’Reilly’s Auto Parts on the surveillance cameras . Address is 1002 W. University Ave. (12) It has not been confirmed whether or not the woman seen is Adrienne.
4:54am – A dark 4 door sedan was seen heading northbound in the same parking lot 2 minutes later on the surveillance cameras (12).
5:00am – Last seen near Brown & Roosevelt streets. (3) Another reports states last seen at this location at 4:30am (7) -- not sure who she was last seen BY, or if this goes off pings, but this is also the same location her car was found.
5:04am – Cab driver (Tom) called Adrienne to make sure she was headed to the gas station. (11)
5:05am - Cab driver (Tom) called Adrienne to make sure she was headed to the gas station (again). (11) Previous reports indicated: Police said Adrienne called a cab company, but the cabbie couldn’t find her at a Tempe convenience store. (4) “Salinas asked for a driver to meet her at the AMPM gas station at the intersection of Hardy & University. Investigators told CBS 5 she never made it there” (5). LE saw surveillance of cab driver at AMPM but there was no sign of Adrienne there. LE subsequently questioned the cab driver and searched his home. AMPM is less than ¼ mile from Adrienne’s apartment. (9)
5:06am – Adrienne called the cab driver (Tom) saying she’d be there in a minute.
5:07am – Cab driver (Tom) called Adrienne again, looking for her, but the phone went to voicemail. (11) Her phone was turned off (1) or died (8).

Sunday, June 16th:
2:00pm – AS’s father found her car two blocks away from her apartment. (8)
Her Father called LE that afternoon. (8)

Other known info:
After leaving her disabled car, she walked less than a ¼ mile to her home and changed clothes and left again, leaving her wallet and keys behind. (9)
LE has questioned the cab driver and searched his home. Say he’s not a suspect at this time. (9) LE also took a DNA sample from cab driver (11).
LE did a sweep of Tempe Town Lake and found nothing. (9)
LE says that BF has been cleared and has fully cooperated. (10)
Cab procedures: "In a place like this, they would get out, look around, make sure the person wasn't in the store," Simon said. He said his son did just that but never saw Salinas. (11)
Francisco Arteaga told police Salinas was upset with him after a party at her apartment because she felt he “was not paying enough attention to her,” according to the report. (13)
Adrienne has a small dog that she never leaves home without bringing it or making sure someone will care for it while she’s gone (13).
The police report said Adrienne had no source of income and that her father gave her money for her living expenses, including $10 for gas a few days before she vanished. (14)

ok, I haven't been reading along so sorry for the fact that what I'm saying has probably already been said.

The BF said they argued because he wasn't paying enough attention to her, then they left and went to his house, then left his house and came back and she got out and started walking when they were getting close to her place.

And then he saw she left her cellphone on his passenger seat so he got out and gave it to her.

And then he called her roommate (Flores) on his own cellphone to ask her to meet Adrienne, who was walking alone. So her roommate left the apartment on her bicycle to go meet Adrienne but didn't find her. Then when the roommate returned to the apartment, Adrienne was there and they talked outside on the grass and then Adrienne went inside and Flores never saw her again (she did not see Adrienne leave, she said).

So I've been accused of still acting, thinking, and feeling like a teenager plenty and I surely am female as heck so lemme just say, a few things about this speak to me.

What they SAY could be totally wrong of course.

But it seems to ME (therefore, IMHO) that Adrienne wasn't mad he wasn't giving her enough attention... she was mad he wasn't giving her AS MUCH ATTENTION AS HE WAS GIVING "SOMEONE ELSE".

Then she felt she had to leave the apartment with him, so it seems that "someone else" was in the apartment.

Then they started to drive back to the apartment and she became SO upset she actually got out of the car and walked. And didn't even remember her cellphone, she was so mad.

And what's he do? Call "someone else" who is at the apartment. So, first he (may very well have) payed too much attention to "someone else" at the apartment. Then when he couldn't control Adrienne he DEFINITELY called "someone else" at the apartment to warn them/let them know she was on her way back. Who would that be... like, maybe the object of his attention earlier?

So then I ask myself, well, who was the person he called? And, was everything that person has told LE and media consistent with what more impartial observers have said?

If not, why might that be?

I'm not accusing anyone of anything but it sounds to me like Adrienne might have THOUGHT her BF and her roommate were fooling around and was freakin' LIVID about it, so much that she wouldn't even stick around the apartment after her wreck, she just GTFO of there.

KWIM, jellybean?

IMHOetc

(ETA - my details above were gotten from this link - http://www.abc15.com/dpp/news/regio...linas-left-home-after-argument-with-boyfriend )

Could never have said it this well, but this is what I've been thinking.

(And I worry that secret someone might be protected by people at that party if anyone knew of he and Adrienne leaving together, if that's what happened.)

*I think it is MORE likely however that she probably snuck back out to meet this guy and didn't want her friends to be privy to her secret relationship - this explaining why no one saw her leave. She didn't want anyone to know she was cheating on the BF and for them to tell him.*

AS and her BF had an on and off again relationship for years. The idea of a third party coming into AS life during one of these "off" periods is highly likely IMO. And she could have kept him on the side. That would explain an MO as well: he kidnapped/harmed her bc she wouldn't pick him. She always kept going back to the bf as this guy played second fiddle.

Bringing this from other thread. Somehow got stuck at the end lol!

I hope it turns out that the 'slender woman' who was seen on the surveillance cams at O'Reilly's that same morning Adrienne was thought to be out walking turns out to be someone else.

I don't really know anything other than what's been reported, but it just seems to me that the key to what happened to/with her is going to be found by interviewing everyone who was at that party.

And also, possibly having to wait until someone decides to "open up" if they ever do.

JMHO

Taken from the above timeline
4:43 or 4:47am – Text sent from Adrienne’s phone to boyfriend’s phone said she was going to his house. (1 & 4)

Everyone has been discussing the dark vehicle as a sedan. Is there a msm or video of it being called a sedan? Couldn't vehicle be a suv or some other make? Surely the FBI would have been able to identify it more accurately by now.

Surveillance footage taken from an auto parts store on 1002 W. University Ave. that morning showed a slender woman walking through the parking lot at 4:52 a.m. A dark, four-door vehicle can also be seen heading through the same parking lot approximately two minutes later, according to the police report.

I've seen articles that reference this newly released police report, but I haven't seen the report itself. Does anyone have a link for the primary source (the report)? thanks!

Let's hope this case does not go the way of Lauren S.'s, where many people feel the people she was with that night have the answer, as if so, they have not been inclined to speak out in over two years.

I am not getting the same vibe from Adrienne's disappearance, as LE seems to believe she was out and about on foot in the wee hours. I also think they believe she is the person on the tape, or why release it (the info) all? They did not ask for the person on the tape to come forward.

And I can see her arguing with this guy too while she was driving her car. I'm worried about what this theoried secret boyfriend could have done to her in that car. He could have hit her on the temple/side of head and that could have caused her to crash. He could have switched seats and sped off before the witness could ask for help, in fear she would look in the car and see a more serious situation going on and Adrienne injured... :(

At this point IMO I'm not so sure that was Adrienne on that video.

I worry her car was left on an off street bc the secret boyfriend didn't want anyone to see him get her body out. He could have even had time to reset the seat. Then he could have walked her body over to the lake :(

I really think it is a bit much to have another person not only in the car, but now covering up injuries she sustained. I just think it is getting way too complicated and that Adrienne is missing because she set out on foot in the dangerous hours, probably intoxicated. JMO

I've been scouring the Internet for any bit of the actual police/investigation report available. Nada yet :(

And to everyone:
My map application won't even pull up right now either so I cannot work on them at the mo. If anyone else would like to tackle the maps for now I'd be so grateful. Please just make sure they match the info in the timeline on this thread by Mamacita.

her father said (and continues to emphasize) she drinks beers like any other college kid, but she doesn't typically get plastered and she is very responsible. He said she is responsible in that respect. We don't even KNOW if she was drunk. And if she is responsible I'm assuming she wouldn't have driven if she felt too intoxicated to do so. IMO.

We just assume she was drunk bc she was at a party where others we're drinking and bc she had an emotional break down with the bf a few times that night.

Her father Rick keeps reasserting that Adrienne would never be irresponsible in that regard. In fact, the assertions that she was irresponsible that night due to over consumption seem to really upset Rick. No media outlets have reported her roommates or Artaega saying they feared for her safety bc she was considerably intoxicated that night.

They worried about her bc it was so out of character for her given her reasonably responsible nature. IMO.

She could have been acting out of sorts and emotional bc she was dosed at the party (something slipped in her drink).

We don't yet know if she was drunk when she drove. I just need to say that bc it's such an important fact to her father Rick.

This (bolded above) is a good point to consider.

I hadn't seen these exact details yet.

Rick Salinas said it upsets him when people miscategorize Adrienne. He said she is a typical college student who would drink a couple of beers socially.

“This is a responsible young lady who was going to college,” he said. “She was not a troubled teen. She had loving relationships.”

But a police report quoted her boyfriend and her roommates as saying that Adrienne was upset the morning she disappeared. She had been drinking at a party at her apartment that night and had an argument with her boyfriend. The boyfriend told police that Adrienne was upset at him for speaking to other people at the party and not paying enough attention to her, according to the report.

He said Adrienne asked him to leave but later followed him to his car and said she wanted him to drive her to Scottsdale so they could talk some more about the issue.

But he said the argument continued as he drove to her Scottsdale and at his home. He later found her attempting to walk home, so he gave her a ride to Fifth Street and Mill Avenue, where she jumped out his car and walked the rest of the way home.

not liking this much for some reason...

http://www.azcentral.com/community/...tempe-missing-woman-friends-family-vigil.html

ETA from same link above:

Rick Salinas said the boyfriend passed a polygraph test administered by police.

A roommate of Adrienne’s told police that she had an on-again, off-again relationship with the boyfriend and that the two struggled to “define their relationship.” She said Adrienne and the boyfriend had argued in the past, but never as much as that night.

Who's to say if you punch someone on the side of the head these gonna be blood?

I got smacked on the side of the temple once and knocked out. Instill have problems with seizures and being faint. There was no blood or anything, yet it nearly killed me. Thank god for EMTs.

I worry that she got smacked on the side of the head near her parasympathetic nerve. That would cause her to lose control of her arms and legs.

Or if he dosed her before she had left the party with the bf she could have began to feel the effects while at the wheel in 30 minutes or so after getting dosed. It takes about 30 minutes for GHB to kick in and rohypnol is similar in metabolization.

Maybe she passed out at the wheel?

I'm thinking it's one of the two: she was assaulted in the car OR she was drugged and began to doze off while driving, causing her to hit that median.

IMOO

Hm, more details from the police report:

Salinas told him to leave and when he went out to his car, she followed him, got inside and told him to take her to his house in Scottsdale, officers said.

Arteaga said they continued to argue about their relationship, even when they arrived at his house, police said. Arteaga said during their argument inside the house, he stepped out to get some air and when he came back, Salinas was gone, police said.

Arteaga said he found Salinas walking toward Indian School Road
and told her he would take her home. As he drove her back toward her apartment, he stopped at a red light at Fifth Street and Mill Avenue when Salinas opened the door, climbed out and started walking again.

http://www.kpho.com/story/22869930/police-report-sheds-light-prior-to-tempe-teens-disappearance

Feeling worse and worse about this. Sounds like she kept trying to get away from him. Told him to leave, left his house, got out of his car... it's so odd that she got into his car and TOLD HIM to take her to his house, but then kept trying to leave at every opportunity.

Glad LE has things all cleared up on this end so I know my feelings are unfounded.
