SAGINAW — A 17-year-old neighbor of 6-year-old Alanna Gallagher became a suspect in her death and sexual assault through DNA evidence found on her body and on the buckle of a belt that was wrapped around a tarp holding her body, according to an arrest warrant affidavit released Tuesday...
Katherine Chaumont, an FBI spokeswoman, said officers knocked on Holder’s door about 9 a.m. He was alone in the house.
Holder lived there with his mother, Kimberly Holder. Tuesday afternoon, she referred questions to her attorneys and said she did not know her son’s condition.
“I don’t know. They won’t give me information,” Kimberly Holder told the Star-Telegram. “I’ve been asked to leave the hospital. I’m so unhappy right now.”

Victim Friendly

Websleuths is a victim friendly forum. Attacking or bashing a victim is not allowed. Discussing victim behavior, good or bad is fine, but do so in a civl and constructive way and ONLY IF IT IS RELEVANT TO THE CASE. Social Networks

Ot to "confusion" I remember being told one of my older brothers had a mishap on one of those tire swings hanging on a rope. He hollered out "I broke my peanuts!" He was fine btw. Sorry for ot.

I can't believe I was out of the office for two days in a row and the only "breaking news" is that his bond is now $1M??????

I was sure that being away from my laptop would result in major breaks in the case. So much for that theory......

Other than the story this morning where GG said he never met him & now doesn't want to, and apparently he has a trach tube, is there much else?

You know something else that has occurred to me. If TH did such a haphazard job in getting rid of Alanna why wouldn't they have found more of his DNA on her? You would think that his DNA would have been all over her. But if I remember correctly they only listed in two separate places. I know that this all they needed, but I find that odd. IMO

Good point. I was thinking if the belt was leather, there would seem like there should be more DNA on it.

To come in on the first page of a new thread tonight....and be slapped in the face with Alanna's beautiful, angelic photo...her poor family. I cannot imagine the heartbreaking loss they have been dealt. To wake up each morning only to realize the sunshine has been stolen from your life...how do you even go on? My heart is with her parents, all 3 of them, and her siblings, grandparents and everyone who loved this sweet child. It's things like this that force me to question the ways of this universe.

Well maybe that is all the listed in the Arrest Warrant. I am sure there must be.
That would only be logical.

Originally, I thought it might have been because of one of the men he said he'd had sex with. Most teens don't consider guys their own age to be "men", that's usually (in my experiences) used for a male who is older than you are. I thought an older man who had abused TH for years was there with him, and cleaned up enough to get rid of any evidence that he had been involved (but didn't care about evidence against TH.) He also could have taken her to get her out of the area, but just dumped her in the first spot he didn't think he'd be seen so he could be back home before they started searching for her.

I'm not too keen on the idea anymore because he could have just left her there and gone home without taking a chance on being caught with her if he had removed all evidence. I'm also sure LE has talked to anyone whose vehicle was seen leaving the area between the time of her disappearance and the discovery of her body. Which leaves me back at - why did he do such a lousy job of cleaning up and leave her in a place where she'd be found so quickly?

Maybe it wasn't the named perp's DNA. Maybe an accomplice?

I believe I read Holder washed the body off with a hose! but I could be wrong maybe I got the stories mixed up....

I am guessing because he used some sort of liquid to get rid of DNA on her body.

I think you might have gotten your stories mixed up.Besides I don't think washing her body would get rid of the evidence where it was found.

According to the arrest warrant, her entire body was covered in this unknown liquid, maybe that destroyed DNA. The DNA they did get was from inside her (I'm so sorry) and on the buckle of the belt. I'm assuming he thought he got rid of ALL the DNA and missed the belt. MOO

About the unknow liquid, I know that in one of the search warrants didnt LE obtain water from a Hot Tub ? Or am I remembering wrong ? I thought that of interest and now we know why. LE trying to rule out drowning ect....
