Oh man! Not again!
Seems I've picked up a bunch of spyware and other garbage...
I wonder how? I have my security set so tight...
Hmmm, CWS, SearchMiracle, and a few other things came up
when I ran Spybot...now, I am updating my antivir...something
still seems wrong and I need to run a bunch of stuff right now.
Thanks for letting me vent y'all!!!! I loathe spyware!!!!!!!!
Hopefully I can get it all sorted out without having to bother
the great folks at spywareinfo... (They did an awesome job helping
me last time my computer was HIJACKED~ and taking us to the worst
of the worst *advertiser censored* sites...)

Anyone know how this garbage gets on our PC's?

finally running antivir...ugh! don't know if I'm suppsoed to be offline to do this...but I am having trojan warnings popping up like crazy!!! ARGH!!!!

:banghead: :slap: <----for the creators of this junk!!!!

7 TROJANS so far...in addition to the malware I got rid of earlier!!!!
Wow, no wonder my 'puters been slow and cranky. poor baby.
8 now...one locked...

just ran adaware, too! 23 instances of CWS!!!! UGh! And a possible
hijack attempt! I sure hope all is well now!

How can anyone get this much garbage on their pc?
and why does it always seem to happen whenever I accidentally
use IE to log on...instead of mozilla?

If you don't already have it try downloading a free program called Spyware Blaster. It doesn't look for spyware on your computer....it prevents it from being downloaded to your computer to begin with. Keep it updated frequently to keep away the most well known adware and spyware.... and it works with both IE and Firefox. It cuts way down on spyware and popups.

I think we may already have it, but if we do, it hasn't been updated in
a LONNNGGG time. I'll be checking it out later (My turn to not
be feeling well now :sick: I think I'd rather my computer have this, lol. If only! ).

MY COMPUTER is STILL SICK!!!!! :sick:

I am over at spywareinfo.com on another window...copying page after apge of instructions...downloading cwshredder, about:buster, etc.etc.etc.
and updating everything, lol!

Man, there is a lot to fix!!!! I cannot believe that we picked up so much garbage...

Ok, guys, sorry!!! I just had to vent!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
waahhhhhhhhhhhh!!!

This is going to take a long while!!! hidden file...scanning ... fixing... removing... rebooting safe mode etc.etc.etc. ad infinitum!!!!

Well, I guess it coud be worse, couldn't it.
Just ranting y'all...don't mind me.

Microsoft has a new "beta" version of spyware which is free. I have used it in addition to spybot and ad aware.

Go to microsoft.com and do a search for spyware, the link for the new beta version should come up.

I'll have to check it out in a bit--after I know everything is clear!

me ranting still:
The frustrating thing is that I had my PC pretty well protected...
especially after my last bout of malware/trojans/hikacking....
And we only ever seem to have problems when we open internet
explorer...never with Mozilla.

I think I may be down the homestretch now...I've just ran a lot
of different programs in safe-mode and deleted some bad
files...etc.. it seems clear...but I couldn't find about:blank with
the about:buster...and I KNOW we had it.so, I can't say
I'm quite done yet, but it looks better.

Well, I'd better hurry along...I hear thunder and I need to finish my
computer junk.:crazy:

end of rant,lol!
