Mrs Rogan's body was discovered in the backyard of a house on Sharp Street, around 11am on Friday. Police have not revealed how she died.

Her death was declared a major crime on Saturday following a post mortem.

Volunteers from the local State Emergency Service were called in to search the Rogan's property and surrounds for clues.

Police announced the arrested of a 51-year-old Whyalla man shortly after 5pm on Monday.

She was a well known person in town. I didn't know her personally but had seen her face around town.
