Earl "Bubba" Kidder Jr.

Missing Since: March 28, 2010 from Opelousas, Louisiana
Classification: Endangered Missing
Date Of Birth: April 9, 1970
Age: 39 years old
Height and Weight: 6'0, 195 pounds
Distinguishing Characteristics: Caucasian male. Brown hair, brown eyes. Kidder has a dimple on his chin and a large scar on his right arm near the elbow. He uses the name Bubba.

Three friends leave town for a weekend fishing trip but only two return, and the missing man's fishing companions, Chad Pitre and Riki Armand, claim they have no idea what happened to him. Unfortunately, the family of Earl Bubba Kidder Jr say they don't think they'll ever see him alive again, but they're still holding out, praying for his safe return.

Pitre stated he last saw Kidder at their campsite on Big Alabama Road. He said he went to sleep between 8:30 and 9:00 p.m., and when he woke up the next morning Kidder was gone and so was Pitre's car, a gold Mitsubishi compact. Later that week, the car was found abandoned on a remote road in a wooded area near the Little Alabama Bayou. It had been burned beyond recognition, and authorities determined the fire was arson.

Kidder's fishing partners were questioned extensively by police and stated they had no idea what happened to him. His family believes he met with foul play, as it's uncharacteristic of him to leave without warning. His case remains unsolved.

Pointe Coupee, St Martin, and St Landry Detectives are all working on this case.
You can call the Pointe Coupee Sheriff's Office at (225) 694-9014 with any information.

Hmm, the two fishing buddies' stories sound kinda fishy.

Neighbors on the bayou reported seeing Pitre’s little gold-colored Mitsubishi compact car going back and forth over the weekend, but with only two people in it.

The family set up a FB missing page, but it hasn't been updated for over a year.

Bubba's mother passed away in February 2013; her obit says he preceded her in death.

Just came across this case and bumping up.
I feel for Mr. Kidder Jr's family.

3 buddies go out for a fishing trip and one says he headed to bed already by 8:30 - 9:00 pm? o_O

Were they sleeping in tents? But neither friend heard him supposedly drive away in P's car? How did he obtain P's car keys so he could allegedly disappear with P's vehicle? o_O

Yet it was his father who reported him missing and not his friend whose car he allegedly stole?

This is a case you really wish would be solved, for the sake of justice and the victim's family.

Kidder, circa 2010

<<Kidder was last seen in Opelousas, Louisiana on March 28, 2010. He went on a weekend fishing trip to the Sherburne Wildlife Management Area with two friends, Chad Pitre and Riki Armand.

On the day of his disappearance, he called his mother and said the fishing was going well and he was having a good time. The following day, Kidder was supposed to go to a doctor's appointment, but he never showed up. He has never been heard from again.>>
