Dale Brownlow a 52-year-old man from Denver has been missing since Nov. 30, 2013. Brownlow’s pickup truck has been parked at the Hunter’s Gulch trailhead since Nov. 28, 2013, and no one has seen him since Nov. 30.

“He had been living in Helena in a hotel for a few months,” Dutton said Thursday, moments after stepping out of the Montana Highway Patrol helicopter being used for the search. “He left all of his stuff (in his room).”

"Officials haven't given up on Brownlow and now are looking at the behavioral analysis part of the search.

"Who is he, why did he come to Montana, more specifically why did he come to Lewis and Clark County, where did he get his money, are there any suspicious circumstances involved in his disappearance, does he have insurance policy, we are going to look into all of that." continued Dutton. "

The two pictures of him (drivers license and surveillance) are so different! The date of the DL photo is unknown but older, but he actually looks younger in the surveillance photo. Maybe it's just the angle?? It doesn't even look like the same guy.

This is local to me, but I haven't heard much about it. I'll keep my ears open.
 
I don't think the surveillance photos and the DL photos look alike at all. Hmmm...could this be a stolen identity?
 
It seems like LE really thinks that all the photos are of Dale Brownlow, but I agree that it doesn't look like the same person.

The photo from the motel shows a clean shaven,(or perhaps almost clean shaven) short haircut type of a guy,
but the other photo shows a man with longer hair and facial hair with glasses.
I would think a man who would be outdoors would welcome a beard and longer hair due to the extremities.
Also, the clean shaven man looks heavier in his face and looks like he is in his 40's to me, instead of in his early 50's.
With the addition of his handwriting being shown to the public, I wonder if they aren't 100 percent sure it is him.
IMOO.
