At this link it sounds like they know who it is.

The Homicide Detectives have responded to the scene and concluded this to be a suspicious death. Immediate details of the nature of the scene will not be released until further progression into the investigation, as this is in the very preliminary stages. The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office will release the victim’s identity once their portion of the investigation is completed.

I also thought about the missing in that area. :(
RIP .....

There are many recently missing adults in Sacramento county listed on this website.

I wonder if it's one of these two:

Van and Chantra Chanpenxi were last seen launching their boat from the Hogback Island access point onto the Sacramento River Delta. Their boat was found running circles in the water — but there is no sign of the pair, but their son Jim is desperate to find them.

I'm looking for Teleka Patrick to be located in any area from Michigan to California. It could possibly be her anywhere in the U. S. when an unidentified body is reported.
She could have gotten a ride, or several rides, to California.

MOO

(From the above link, at the time of the article, the woman was found deceased, but her husband remains missing.)
"Chanpenxi's husband, who is believed to have drowned as well, remains missing."

Thank you so much. I looked around for news on them and did not come across that she had been found. Odd, they may have both drowned.

This sonar team should search Lake Castaic for missing Bryce Laspisa.

Well, this has taken an odd twist.

*****

Sacramento County sheriff’s detectives are now seeking the public’s help in identifying the woman, who is believed to have been 35 to 45 years old and between 5 feet 1 inch and 5 feet 4 inches tall.

She weighed 100 to 130 pounds and had light brown or blonde hair and a mole on her lower back. She wore a diamond ring on her left finger that detectives hope somebody will recognize. She also wore a chain-style necklace around her neck.

Detectives have now classified her death as a homicide. However, how she died remains unclear.

The fire appears to have been set at the location where her body was found - a dirt levee road near Snodgrass Slough, said sheriff’s Sgt. Lisa Bowman. Detectives are awaiting further information from the coroner’s office to determine whether the fire killed her.

They also are not sure how long ago she died, though they do not believe her body had been at the scene long before its discovery about 8 a.m. Thursday.

This "Delta Doe" is only a few counties north of me. Hopefully she just has not been "noticed" as missing yet but will be soon and a match will be made. RIP. :(

That looks like a wedding ring. Wonder if a husband has reported his wife missing....or not.

Susan Jacobson???

Small frame, wedding ring, brown hair....

The body probably wasn't there for very long as per article linked upthread. Susan Jacobson went missing May last year.
Do you think she was kept alive, and recently killed?

Oh my...

The decomp status of this person does not fit with the time Susan Jacobson disappeared...

But there could be reasons for that (as yet unknown, of course) ...

She is described as "4-feet, 11-inches tall, about 90 pounds" and is 59? Her hair looks dark not light brown or blonde?
