Potential break in cold case of missing Penn State student linked to bodies in Luzerne County: Centre Daily Times

Editor's note: This story was updated to clarify the number of bodies found and the status of the investigation into Cindy Song's 2001 disappearance.

News that a total of 12 bodies were found on the Luzerne County property of convicted bank robber Hugo Selenski has raised hopes of eventually solving the case of a Penn State student who went missing more than 10 years ago, according to the Centre Daily Times.

This all seems related to Hugo Selinski. There were bodies found on his property. This new info may be related to his upcoming trial date set for March.

There's more info at following link.

Moo and all that good stuff!

Yeah, no kidding. When exactly were these bodies found?

The revelation that police had uncovered 12 additional bodies on Selenski's property came in a grand jury indictment against Selenski's attorney, Shelley Centini, and a private investigator, James Sulima, earlier this month.

The first ones were found in 2003. It looks like at least some deaths may have to do with drugs.

In 2006, Selenski stood trial for two different murders.
The remains of the victims in this case were also found on his property.
Selenski was found not guilty. The victims’ families were devastated.

Maybe he's had so much "inside help" that they were able to get him out of some of his criminal troubles.

I haven't followed this case, but someone posted this in Cindy Song's thread here on WS, and then I shared some of the info and my opinion regarding Cindy's case on an Unsolved Mysteries message board, since her case was featured on UM.

Shared by a poster in Cindy's thread here: The grand jury's report http://www.wbcitizensvoice.com/pdfs/centini.pdf

My comments on the UM board: that may explain questions voiced above such as why they didn't press this guy harder for info when dead bodies were found on his property and he was bragging about having Cindy's clothing (costume bunny ears) in his possession.

Among other things, he was involved in serious witness intimidation and he, his attorney, and a private investigator (a former police officer) were all in cahoots!

His lawyer committed criminal offenses including instructing witnesses to commit perjury, intimidated witnesses, bribed witnesses with cash, delivered threatening letters from Selenski to witnesses then claimed those letters were "lost", destroyed evidence of her own crimes related to the case, committed perjury before the grand jury, etc, etc,

The grand jury called it "brazen criminal conduct of this group" and described them as "co-conspirators", "accomplices", "a syndicate", "a triad of treachery", and a "cabal of criminals".

It's no wonder Cindy can't get justice, when the entire system is corrupt. That grand jury report is worth the read. It's 13 pages long, typed double spaced, and not too full of legalese. I bet there's a lot of this cr*p that goes on, impeding justice, and causing cases to stay cold and unsolved.

The body county is down to five, only one still unidentified:

More remains were discovered in and near a burn pit at the property at 479 Mount Olivet Road, and investigators had to sift through the teeth, jaws and bones to learn the full death toll.

Investigators confirmed the site contained three sets of remains because they found three left mandibles, or jaw bones, Luzerne County Coroner Bill Lisman said Monday.

“There was no identification ever made on the third left mandible,” Lisman said.
