TORONTO - A high-risk sex offender, who served 15 years behind bars for beating a teen prostitute into a coma faces new charges.

Toronto Police say Hassan Steven Jarrar, 41, has been re-arrested on "multiple" offences less than two years after being freed from prison.

The former male stripper received a "life" sentence for what a judge called his "cruel and savage attack" on a 19-year-old hooker known only as "Dana."

He was 23 when he picked the sex trade worker up near Jarvis and Carlton Sts. on Mar. 12, 1996, drove her to the Portlands.........

''A former male stripper who lured a 14-year-old girl to a motel where he sexually assaulted her and made child *advertiser censored* “remains a manipulative, deceitful, possibly delusional, unpredictable and a dangerous offender,” a sentencing hearing was told Tuesday.

Crown attorney Karen Simone told court Tuesday that predator Hassan Steve Jarrar, 47, — who has preyed on two teenaged victims — should be locked up indefinitely as a dangerous offender.

“Jarrar has spent most of his life blaming his victims and portraying himself as a victim,” said Simone, after Jarrar delivered an hour-long speech, maintaining his innocence to crimes which led to convictions at trials in 1997 and 2016.

“He knew she was a minor. She was a 14-year-old girl with a bedroom full of teddy bears.”

Jarrar was freed in 2012 after being sentenced to 15 years in prison for aggravated sexual assault — a 1996 attack in which he almost killed another teen. He was arrested in 2014 and has been behind bars ever since then for the assault on the 14-year-old.

He was convicted in 2016 of sexual assault, interference, luring and making, possessing and accessing child *advertiser censored* for the assault on the 14-year-old girl.

Jarrar wants to be sentenced to time served plus a peace bond.

“He takes absolutely no responsibility for his actions and took no treatment,” said Simone. “He continues to deny his guilt.”

A “life” sentence means 15-20 years in Europe and Canada.

Even if he’s sentenced to life, it’ll be purely symbolic.
