They have released the photo of the towel the baby was wrapped in and are asking for leads.

I suspect the mother has an older child if she had a burp cloth in her home. In the photo, it looks like it has old formula stains on it.

There are several brands of baby and children's accessories online with some variation of the "chick pea" name. If we could determine when the burp cloth was manufactured it might give us an approximate age of her older child, assuming it was bought either as a shower gift or during the child's infancy.

Are they sure it's a burp cloth and not a towel?

This is incredibly sad because some poor child has lost a brother or sister. You have to wonder if that child was isolated after Mom began to look visibly pregnant to avoid others asking about his/her new sibling.

Or she has much younger siblings perhaps?

As for now I managed to dig an info that this particular brand belongs to Cutie Pie Baby Inc. and is on the market since 2006. Detailed info here:
