The New Orleans Police Department said it is looking for a woman who was last heard from on New Year's Eve (Dec. 31). Nicole Carter, 43, is described by police as last wearing a white turtle neck shirt and jeans, and walking with a limp due to hip surgery.
Police said the person reporting her missing last saw Carter at a club on the 1500 block of Basin Street at approximately 10:00 p.m. Christmas night. Neighbors, however, reportedly saw carter at her home days before, according to police. Someone else spoke to Carter on New Years' Eve, police said.
Since contact was last made, Carter's phone has been cut off, police said.
