Kingsport police looking for missing man -

On March 5, 2014 at approximately 4:00 AM, Dusten Toschlog, 38 years of age, left his residence on Cherokee Village Drive in Kingsport in his brown 1994 Chevrolet Silverado full-size pickup. He left of his own free will; however, based upon some personal information conveyed to law enforcement, there is reason to be concerned for his overall welfare.

Oh no. I wonder if they're they concerned he may attempt suicide. I can't think of any other logical reason that makes sense of the way the article is worded. :-/

A little additional information from the Kingsport PD Blog:

License Plate # Tennessee J3010D

There is a white sticker with black lettering on side of truck the reads “Workstrong"

He did not advise his family members of his intended destination

Calls to his cell phone have gone unanswered

Dustin Toschlog also has a FB page. Most of it is not visible, but I found what was visible to be interesting nonetheless.

Great sleuthing, Considering! I'm really worried about this young man, I hope he'll be located soon.

Can't find any news. According to a comment beneath this article here, he obviously lost his brother the month before he went missing: http://www.timesnews.net/article/9074326/kingsport-man-reported-missing

Yes, it looks like it. I found:
CLENTON T TOSCHLOG was born 10 September 1972 died 08 February 2014.

Birth: Sep. 10, 1972
Death: Feb. 8, 2014

Nueces County
Texas, USA

and

"Corpus Christi, Texas - Clenton Troy Toschlog son of Brenda Toschlog Smith and Butch Toschlog passed to the other side suddenly @ Bay Area Hospital in C.C., Tex. February 8, 2014".

Other info seems to show CT was a resident of Richmond, IN, but CT's also been listed for:
Richmond, IN Sarasota, FL, Waco, TX, Perryville, AR, Fort Lauderdale, FL, Woodway, TX

Wonder if Dusten went to visit any of those cities after he passed? Especially Richmond as it looks like where CT is buried?

There were quite a few arrests for the brother (went by Clinton and Clenton). Hopefully the brother didn't leave anything "open" when he passed that Dusten could have been threatened with. Like IOUs, money owed, etc. - things that someone would have come looking to Dusten for that would have made Dusten leave in a hurry.

I also found a way old internet posting by Dusten - notice he says "Dusten Toschlog hates this website" and lists "Moody" way back then:

Here he has posted on youtube in January 2014 reading Psalm 98 from the Complete Jewish Bible:

[snip]

On Wednesday night, Kingsport Police said they were still searching for him 10 months after his disappearance.

Toschlog's brown 1994 Chevrolet Silverado was found in North Carolina.

Police say based on information they received, there is reason to be concerned for Toschlog's safety.

Family: Help find missing man
Family members of a missing Tennessee man are still searching for answers on his whereabouts after his truck was discovered in McDowell County almost a year ago.
Dusten “Dusty” D. Toschlog, 38, was reported missing from his residence in Kingsport, Tenn. on March 5, 2014. He is listed as a missing person on the FBI’s website, where it states he left his residence at approximately 4 a.m. in his brown Chevrolet Silverado pickup.
WNCT-TV reported in March that a press release from the Kingsport Police Department said he left his home of his own free will, but that personal information given to law enforcement has raised concerns about his overall welfare. He did not tell family members where he was going and calls to his cell phone went unanswered.
This week, The McDowell News received an email from Toschlog’s aunt Melanie Eckert claiming that authorities have not done all they can to find him.
“As you already know my nephew Dusten Toschlog's truck was found in Old Fort. He went missing early morning of March 5th. His truck was towed the same day from a convenience store on Bat Cave Road by AJ's towing,” the email reads. “To my knowledge the local authorities I've been dealing with Captain Shannon Smith with McDowell police department, are not doing anything about this. They searched with dogs around the area his truck was found......now mind you this was 8 months later...found nothing...and that was it.”
Capt. Shanon Smith of the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office said on Monday that they weren’t even aware of the missing Tennessee man until this November when his truck was pulled over by the Marion Police Department.
“The day after he was reported missing, his truck was located behind Joy Foods. The owner contacted a local wrecker company to come pick it up. They (towing company) made numerous attempts to contact the owners,” said Smith. “They put a mechanic’s lean on it and for whatever reason the state DMV didn’t pick it up as missing. Sometime in November, MPD ran the tag, then we got involved.”
Eckert’s email said when police pulled over Toschlog’s truck it came back with a ViCAP alert. “There was evidence (in the truck) that may have suggested he may have done or was going to do something to harm himself, instead of calling the authorities they burnt it,” she said in the email.

Police are still seeking information on a man who left his Kingsport home in March of last year, disappearing without telling his family where he was heading.

Kingsport police report that Dusten Toschlog, 38, departed his residence of his own free will, but there is still "reason to be concerned for his overall welfare." His vehicle was later located in North Carolina.

This is sad and the saddest part to me is that I live right down the road and do remember seeing the news post but like most others in this area I assumed he had been found yet he has been missing for almost 3 years!! I hope he is safe!
