Ms. Couture was found deceased in her apartment in East Hartford on October 13, 1973. An autopsy determined she had been stabbed and her death was ruled a homicide.[/FONT]

Reward Increased in East Hartford Cold Case

Wednesday, Sep 30, 2009 Updated 12:45 PM EDTThirty-six years have passed since someone stabbed Janet Couture in the chest and killed her.

Her body was discovered just after 8 a.m. on Oct. 13, 1973 in her Cannon Road apartment and officials are hoping a new infusion of cash and interviews with “persons of interest” will lead them to her killer.
