A worker in a vintage store in Wales caused fury when he made a post on FB during work hours saying the Welsh language got on his f""''''''' nerves. Two customers were there speaking it, and he complained he had to turn Womack up to volume 8.

Besides the fact he lives in Wales, the post was doubly foolish as his boss's family are fluent Welsh speakers and weren't very happy about the post. Especially when someone copied and posted it to the shop's twitter, and they found out about the social media storm during a quiet family walk.

There have been lots of apologies, no firings, and even one of the insulted customers has come forward to say all is forgiven and she hopes the store doesn't lose any customers....I get the feeling that young worker might be hearing a lot of Welsh spoken in the store from now on though. :)

Annoyingly, the link above with the fullest story I can't get to link in a post, although the page is there. it's walesonline.co.uk. story beginning 'The Welsh language'.

Here's another link to a short version anyhow.

Sorry, that stupid link is getting on my blah blah nerves. Can't figure out why it won't work.

Here is a link to the homepage of the site, scroll down and in the far right hand side the story is number one under most commented. Just click on that.
