Dead aged 25. her death is being classified by police as 'unexplained and sudden'. Exactly like her mother's, Paula Yates was, at first.

I am so saddened by this news. My heart goes out to this family, it really does.

I felt like I knew her, in strange way. I knew of her mom and dad before Peaches ever came along; Paula with her flirty interviews, Bob with his punky band, and getting in trouble for "I don't like Mondays". Then Paula choosing all those crazy baby names, and finding out her real dad was Hughie Green....

And then the awful divorce, Michael Hutchence's suicide and all the horrible custody stuff after Paula died too. It seemed like the kids left behind were doomed, but Bob pulled it together. He did so well. And now.....I feel like we kind of took our eyes off Peaches for a moment. Let her down, somehow?

I don't know what I mean really. Just that I wish, wish, this hadn't happened.

Geldof is survived by her musician husband Thomas Cohen and their two sons, Astala, 2 this month, and Phaedra, 1 this month.

Geldof’s father, Bob Geldof, is an Irish singer and songwriter who rose to prominence with the 1970s rock band Boomtown Rats.

"Peaches has died," he said in a statement Monday. "We are beyond pain. She was the wildest, funniest, cleverest, wittiest and the most bonkers of all of us. Writing 'was' destroys me afresh. What a beautiful child. How is this possible that we will not see her again? How is that bearable?"

Very sad... she's with her beloved mom now. Gone too soon from her own young children though. RIP Peaches.
 
Tributes are coming in. Sharon Osbourne says she is devastated.

Police and ambulance were called around 1.30 this afternoon, to the house, where Peaches was found dead. It's around lunchtime, where people with heart problems or suffering accidents might be expected to be found deceased. Not a young, busy, working mom of two though. It's strange.

This is crazy the way the celebrity death pool always pans out in threes. One old and one young over and over again. Strange.

What a sad shame. What's even sadder is I had to check the date on this to make sure it was recent, I thought she had maybe died last year from a drug overdose. Poor thing, I feel bad for her family.
 
In this interview, Peaches talks about the divorce of her parents, trying to cope with that, and the struggle to deal with her mom's death later. She also says how she could have spiralled out of control, but the memory of what happened to her mother prevented her.

'At the height of her partying days ....it was feared she would follow her mother's tragic decline'.

Bob Geldof's statement hurt my heart. That poor family, their lives filled with tragedy. Her poor husband and beautiful children. Don't look at her Instagram, it made me want to bawl my eyes out.

Oh this is so awful. A few years ago I wouldn't of been shocked but she really seemed to sort her life out, plus with hubby and two small kids. I hope she didn't relapse, or what happened to Amy. She had so much sadness in her life but finally turned things happy.

I live near Bob Geldof and have met him a few times, honestly not a nicer, more down to earth person have you ever met. Took my mum all the way to Scotland too see Boomtown Rats at Live 8, he came on on our bus with Peaches and Pixie and we all sang him happy birthday, they thanked every single person as we came off the bus. Such a nice family, so much love. Ugh so so sad.
 
Her babies were only 20 and 10 months old .. so very sad. This family has suffered a lot of tragedy :(
 
So much pain in Mr. Geldof's life...which trickled down to his family. So very sad for all who were close to them.
 
I was reading Bob Geldolf's wiki last night. His mother died of a brain aneurysm when she was 41.

I wonder if brain aneurysms are hereditary?
