LE has reviewed video from near the scene of the murders and have 3 vehicles that may be of interest.

The first car is a dark colored Ford pickup truck pulling a cattle trailer. The other is a black Chevrolet Impala. The last is a red Ford Ranger pickup truck with a sticker on the rear passenger window.

Very sad case as they family had lost the father to cancer in July 2013. Mom Kathy had been posting pictures of what Samantha would being wearing to her prom and an acceptance letter for her to Gatton Academy of math and science. It seems another daughter was thankfully spared as she was in college. I hope there is a quick answer to this case.

Kentucky State Police are confident the car holds the key to closing this case.

From this link:

"Kentucky State Police said they are confident they can close the case of a slain Nelson County mother and daughter if they can find whoever was in a black Chevy Impala seen after the slayings on April 21.

Also,

"Surveillance cameras at a gas station down the road captured images of the car just after 8 p.m. April 21.

"The person or the people in that car, we believe are the suspects in this crime," said KSP Trooper Jeff Gregory.

The car was seen again on a different camera driving away from the crime scene towards Bardstown. Surveillance images were unable to determine the license plate number or if there was anyone inside besides the driver.

It's believed to be a 2006-2013 model with untinted windows and no spoiler.

Gregory said response to the released photo of the car has been overwhelming and he urged citizens to think outside the box about the car.

"The person who is responsible may not have ownership of that car, but it may be a car they borrowed
," he said."

Police are appealing to rental car agencies and anyone who lent a black Impala to someone, especially if the car came back smelling of bleach or with blood stains.

"Or if something about your car that you loaned to someone doesn't seem right and you drive a 2006-13 Impala, we need to know immediately because that is the key to solving this investigation right now," said Thompson.

Police still have not revealed how the Netherlands died. Anyone with a tip can call Kentucky State Police at 270-766-5078

A memorial concert this weekend will pay tribute to a Nelson County teacher and her teenage daughter whose killings remain a mystery.

All types of music and some Def Leppard ...as Def Leppard was their favorite band.

The concert begins at 8 p.m. Saturday (tonight). Admission is free, but guests are being asked to bring a lawn chair.

This is worded as though they may know who did it but haven't been able to put the person or persons in that certain car. Very strange.
