Search for Murrumbeena teen

Police are appealing for public assistance to help locate a missing Murrumbeena teenager.

Jake Dell’Aquila was last seen leaving his home address on Lindsay Avenue on 11 March around 9.30pm.

The 15-year-old last made contact with his family on 15 April but has not been heard from since.

Jake was last seen wearing a white Mercedes Benz baseball cap, blue hooded top, black track pants with white stripes on the sides and white and gold Nike runners.

He is described as 170cm tall, slim build, olive skin, dark brown hair with a ‘rats tail’ and he has a small mole above his lip.

Police and family members have concerns for his welfare due to his age.

Police have released a photo of Jake in the hope that someone may have some information

Anyone who sees him is urged to contact Triple Zero (000) immediately.

So he left home on March 11 and last spoke to his family on April 15th. That's a bit of a time gap before getting it out in MSM!

I guess LE and his family initially thought he was a runaway.....but now maybe they're concerned for his wellbeing?

There really is nothing much out there about Jake. Just the police announcements and one copy of that announcement in The Age.

It sounds as though Jake could be a runaway and, as with all teen runaways, how is he living? Who is he hanging with? Always a scary thought.


The city is only a short distance from Murrumbeena. Did he make his way into the homeless teen crowd there? Which police have, no doubt, since checked.

Where are you Jake? Call someone and let them know that you are okay. Go home if you found that it is all too harsh and unsheltered out there.
