West Valley City photos, documents relating to the Susan Powell case

30, yes 30 pages of names of exotic dancers [all redacted]. Now I believe the Josh at the strip club siting was valid.

Boy, that's a whole lot of reading. bbl Thanks Jacie!

I am about 1/3 of the way through. My butt may be permanently attached to this recliner and I am bleary eyed. Some things are difficult to read. :(

If this wasn't enough circumstancial evidence from about two weeks in, well, I gotta...Randy Allen Taylor just was sentenced on a lot less. I think they went with well, just because he was fishy and he played them. Should have went with here's blood evidence, financial evidence, witnesses galore & smack the crap out of the lowlife creep. So sad. jmo

Back to reading. Thanks AmandaReconwith. Jacie too!

This affidavit Witness statement, Flying J details Susan speaking with a Flying J clerk about going camping with Josh and the boys on Dec. 6, 2009 between the hours of 11:30pm and 1am.

So, LE showed the clerk photos of the Powell family and she positively identified them as the people who came into the gas station?

I was wondering because in the witness statement, she/he referred to them as "The Powell family & Josh & Susan and their two boys". IMO, shows some familiarity with the family. She/He heard somebody say they needed to get gas and then they would go camping. The clerk thinks that they are going to camp in the middle of a snowstorm. Why would she/he think that they were going camping near the gas station?

When our son was very small, we would tell him we were going deer hunting/camping/ fishing and our destination was always at least 6 hours away. Are we there yet? Not yet! Whee, we are going hunting/camping/fishing...that kind of thing.

At the end of the statement she/he puts camping in quotes. That makes me think the clerk watched/read the news before the statement was given.

When did LE take this statement? :moo:

One of the little guys, May their little soles rest in heaven & be in peace (still don't believe this all happened to them but it did), said Susan was on the camping trip but didn't come home several times in his interviews, & in the docs. It could be that the Flying J woman was correct. Susan was there on this trip? Also, in the docs it was mentioned Susan was having nose bleeds at random from a witness and I thought maybe the home wasn't the crime scene after all? Could have been where he smacked her or something? Gosh, I'm reading when I can the 844 page link of witness and investigation docs and whew. I'm only on page 300 or so. Repetitive but if you skip stuff you might miss something, there's always something new I find out. Reptetive from so many friends, work or people from church that Susan was unhappy as all get out. (talk to professionals if you repeat your troubles more than 5 times to others, jmo) Good luck for anyones butt that are reading it. I feel like a slow reader and very uncomfortable at times reading all of it due to Susan being open to everyone but not seeking enough help from professionals. She tried and seemed almost there to leave this crackpot, his views & his father, cough. Susan stood up to the, well...I think she fought him that night & Susan for the boys sake, went with them, bad words...

To me, the Powell family secrets need exposed. I'm sure it might be in the docs. If not, I'll have a fit. Good luck anyone reading these docs. jmo

My heart goes out to Susan & her family.

BBM What family secrets? The more I read from the documents that LE released, the more questions I have.

One of my questions: Why did Chuck Cox fight the release of Susan's diary?

I am not sure if this Trib Talk interview with Rebecca Morris and Nate Carlisle has been posted here yet. @22:00, Morris states that Susan had told her Bishop and friends about her problems with Josh, and she wished that somebody would have intruded, and actually helped her out of her bad situation. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EzycSLVYhac"]Trib Talk: Susan Powell's story - YouTube[/ame]

In this article: " Josh Powell starved one of his sons to the point of malnutrition and possibly poisoned his wife with homemade drinks before she vanished, according to a new book.

The startling claims have been made by Susan Powell's friends more than four years after the 29-year-old mother-of-two disappeared from her Utah home."

Oh gosh, haven't got to that part yet. I have only read about the boys in mutiple interviews that the boys ate, or were fed or were hungry so far when interviewed or by family statements, appeared hungry kidos. So don't quote me. I'm still reading the docs. slow reader..

Just guessing, but Susan was an adult with children. No cry to family I guess, what are grandparents to do? I'm sure it was very hard with them in another State. Chuck & family weren't entirely sold on Josh marrying Susan in the first place. That's what I get from the docs. jmo

I can't even tell you how many people contacted and were documented by police that said Josh was "odd", "controlling" "verbally abusive" per Susan and witnesses to boot. It's that many and repetitive to read. Hundreds if not more. jmo

Again, as far as Josh is concerned, he had many many problems as far as socializing & sexually. He dated a few unknown women about 7 times maybe so far. From the docs.

This release is redacted, but it really isn't. They redact names only to mention them a line or two later by first & even last name I have read. whoa.

A whole lot of Susan's friends have said how Josh would withhold money and the kids would go hungry and Susan would have to ask her friends for hotdogs. They spoke of how the only vegetables those kids could eat would be the vegetables that Susan could grow in her backyard.

My question is: Where the heck was her Relief Society President? Her Compassionate Service Leader? Why did her Bishop not give her a food order from the Bishop's storehouse? Where were her Visiting Teachers? Her Home Teachers? So many safeguards in place. I just don't understand.
