Police do not believe missing woman is in danger -
Tameka Lynch, 30, last seen Friday evening

The Chillicothe Police Department has launched an investigation into the disappearance of a Chillicothe woman last seen Friday evening, although officials say no foul play appears to be involved. Lytle said Lynch’s disappearance has not been entered into the National Crime Information Center database. He said that step won’t be taken until she’s been missing for 30 days.

Tameka Lynch, 30, was reported missing after she left to meet someone at Donatos to get some money but never came back, according to her husband, Jeremi, who filed a police report Tuesday. Chillicothe police spokesman Bud Lytle said a police report indicated she was last seen in the area of Water and Bridge streets, adding that someone reportedly saw her on Douglas Avenue and Fourth Street around 9:50 p.m. Friday.....

What a shame! That article at the link gives a lot of information but it doesn't really give a hint of what might have happened to her. There really didn't seem to be any reason to believe this is how it might end.

RIP Tameka.

Would her body really be that badly decomposed in this short of a time? Especially in water (wouldn't that be cold enough to slow things down more than they would if she was on land somewhere?)

I wondered the same thing. Would her body be badly decomposed in cold water this quickly? Why did the police not believe that she was in danger, when she so clearly was? Might there have been some errors in the way she was reported missing?

Ross County investigators are still piecing together how a Chillicothe woman ended up dead in a creek. Thirty-year-old Tameka Lynch was found four days after her husband reported her missing.

On Wednesday, Ross County Sheriff George Lavender started a Facebook page specifically to get more information on the Lynch death investigation.

Those who knew Tameka Lynch said they're hoping they will soon know how their loved one died.

It's been more than two years since Megan Lancaster's family has seen her, and now police in central Ohio are investigating a possible link between her case and several other women who have gone missing.

"We've had other family members scream at us, 'She's gone. She's dead. Get over it, go on.' And we can't. We have to know what happened to her. We want to put a rest to this. Not just her, to all of these missing women," Kadie Lancaster, Megan's siser-in-law, told 10TV.

CHILLICOTHE, Ohio – Police are investigating a possible lead into the disappearances of six women – and the deaths of at least four of them – after another near-victim killed a man about two hours away.

Neal Falls, 45, of Springfield, Oregon, began attacking a woman in Charleston, West Virginia Saturday night after the two had arranged to meet through a website often used to arrange prostitution, according to police.

It was two years ago this month that kayakers found 30-year-old Tameka Lynch’s body on a sandbar in Paint Creek.

That discovery was near the small town of Bainbridge, 20 miles away from Lynch’s home in Chillicothe.

“Someone put her in the water. Tameka was scared to death of the water and the woods,” said Angela Robinson, Lynch’s mother.
