The Brevard County Sheriff's Office used bloodhounds and its helicopter. The family has handed out hundreds of flyers, too. But the search has come up empty.

Texas Equusearch members said they're doing a methodical foot search in hopes of finding the man.

"We're going to search very thoroughly," said Harry Rogers, of Texas Equusearch. "I know people have been out here searching previously. We're going to go over some of those areas, and there may be areas that aren't very easy to access that may have been overlooked, and we're going to be going into those areas taking a real close look."

Thank heavens for Texas Equusearch and an on-the ball Sheriff's Dept. I couldn't bear it if I heard one more 'dogs lost the scent on the highway so he/she must have got into a vehicle' scenario......

Though his worried relatives have distributed roughly 4,000 fliers bearing his photo, Robert "Bob" Harrison remains unaccounted for 11 days after he was reported missing...

"It's hard. It's hard. My grandmother is used to having him home every night," said Harrison's granddaughter, Heather Bishop of Vero Beach.

"My uncle was really close to my grandfather. And it's taken a toll, not having any answers, not knowing where to look next," Bishop said. "We're not stopping by any means. We just wish we knew where to look," she said.

Family pleads for public’s help in finding missing elderly man

WEST MELBOURNE, Fla. —
Family and friends of a missing elderly man are desperate for his return, and Saturday they turned to the public to help find the 80-year-old. Robert Harrison’s family has posted hundreds of fliers across Brevard County and has performed dozens of searches.
“We’re here today asking, pleading for you to help us,” said Robert Harrison’s daughter, Christy Lathero. Robert Harrison suffers from dementia and high blood pressure, and needs his medicine. “If you’re watching this please keep your eyes open. We don’t know where he might be,” Lathero said during a news conference Saturday.

BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35 ORLANDO) -
The family of a Brevard County man, who has been missing for a month, is desperately pleading for help finding him. Deputies haven't been able to find Robert Harrison, 80, after he wandered away from his house. “It's going to take someone seeing him to get him home,” said Harrison’s daughter, Christy Lathero. “That's our only hope.” Harrison's family said the night he went missing, his wife, Barbara, woke up at 3:30 a.m. to find the lights in their West Melbourne home on and the alarm turned off.

Robert "Bob" Harrison is afflicted with Alzheimer's disease. The 80-year-old vanished from West Melbourne a full 105 days ago, throwing his family into emotional turmoil.

And with hunting season starting this week, Bonnie Harrison fears someone will find her father-in-law by stumbling upon a grisly discovery...

Last month, Bonnie said Harrison's younger brother, Charlie, 73, was struck by a train and killed in West Virginia. "That just about was the straw that broke the camel's back on all of us. It's been a very rough three and a half, four months here," Bonnie said.
