There are a bunch of Irene Kouame's on Facebook. I'm not sure if it could just be a common name from that part of Africa and isn't the Irene that's missing, or if this one girl has a bunch of Facebook pages. Some of the Facebook profiles list Cote D'Ivoire as the person's hometown...which is interesting.

Not trying to be mean but maybe she just went into hiding back then to be able to stay in the US. I hope she's safe and sound.

I don't think that is totally out of the question. I wondered if she had met someone in the US and didn't want to go back to Africa?

There are a bunch of Irene Kouame's on Facebook, but I'm not sure if they are all one person (I know of some people who abandon Facebook pages and just start a new one) or if they're all different people.

I hope she's safe also.

Irene has no dentals, DNA, nor fingerprints in NamUs. If she is among the unidentified being that she either A. Was deceased shortly around the time of her disappearance or B. ran off and met with trouble, then we don't know.

I wonder who reported her missing? If LE even took it seriously? If they ever contacted Irene's parents (who I assume still live in Africa)?

I saw her picture on the back of a flyer recently, which is how I became interested in her case. Unfortunately there isn't a lot of information about her.
