Sheesh! Sheesh again!

When that screen went dark before the remainder of Patsy's testimony, I was almost sure they were going to come back. But, I was tired and decided to up the volume and rest and catch up on my DVR'd programs.

I fell asleep before 7 PM and woke up to major thunder-boomers at 4 AM. Got back and finished the thread.

I am so very disappointed with the pool camera operations. The media fought in court (and paid an attorney to speak for them). They got permission, albeit with a 30-minute delay. I understand the delay, based on the Jodi Arias nightmare.

These stations have a responsibility to carry through with their live-streaming. The public, both in AZ and other states wanted it, the stations wanted it, they got it. Now, IIRC, there are enough stations in the pool so that each only has to cover 1 and possibly 2 days a week.

CNN had made covering trials easy for them. CNN paid, and they probably paid to carry the stream. Now, the ball is in their court and they keep going out of bounds!

So far, we only have openings and part of one of the three eye-witnesses' testimony. Based on the tweets and what little testimony we heard, it's starting to sound like the defense opening was full of a lot of hot air. But, how can we judge when we can't see or hear the testimony for ourselves?

Let's hope that today we will see full coverage. Otherwise, the Mayor, the stations, and local police will fill their inboxes with mail and tie up their phones. Twitter will come alive with complaints. Let's all cross our fingers, toes, legs, and eyes that this will be a good day.

No other state that live stream trials has this problem...only AZ..why?

No other state that live stream trials has this problem...only AZ..why?

Even states where it's their first televised trial!

I must admit, e-mail bombing, Tweet twittering, and phone phun wasn't a bad replacement for actually getting to see the actual witnesses to the crime testify... NOT!

I agree, CNN isn't covering most of the trials live streamed, so them not manning the cameras isn't a very logical reason, and as pointed out, with all the local stations involved, none of them has to singularly provide all of the people power for 4 days a week and maybe 4 or 5 hours of court time (if that). I hope they've decided to keep the stream (delayed as it is) flowing, they have viewers, and we're a captive audience in more ways than one. lol

Let's hope there isn't any of this carry on today,I cannot be bothered with that.

Heading south of the border today. Would prefer to be here with WS Friends, watching and discussing trials. This trial schedule is so silly; court must be adjusting for vacations, availability? Hope, hope, hope for a live stream today.
Later!

Agreed -- geevee -- And something or other made them put a stream out there yesterday, so maybe all "them cards & letters" yesterday did move a mountain... Yep, something happened, however unprofessional it was -- but I guess it was a do-it-in-a-hurry kind of thing, I'm thinking.

:coffeews: Fingers crossed...:coffeews:

Have to say, I'm really disappointed in with the media coverage. The VA Hospital situation has been there for over a decade, but no one wanted to listen until recently, and illegal alien "minors" in being transported and dumped in Phoenix is just another hit by the Feds for Arizona's SB1070.

Chrisman had his trial streamed, a bad cop who's victim's mother deserved justice.
Arias had her circus and she is a "nobody". Again, it was/is Travis' family who deserve justice.
Anthony Holly's family, friends, Glendale PD, and his fellow military companions demand and deserve justice in this horrific case. To be put aside by the media is another slap in the face.

Off to do some chores before any action at the courthouse starts...:seeya:
