NC - Leon Scott, fugitive sex offender from Columbus County, 2014

I wasn't sure if I should even post this here, but he apparently is considered missing. I want him found and locked away. This person is totally repugnant and abominable and I just hope he gets located. Forgive me if this post is offensive to anyone.

US Marshals search for missing sex offender

The US Marshals are asking for your help finding a registered sex offender. They have been searching for Leon Shannon Scott in the Columbus County area for years to no avail. Marshals tell us there have been a few reported sightings of Scott in Whiteville, but no solid leads. Authorities have received tips that Scott may be traveling with a carnival based out of Columbus County, but at this point they have not been able to verify that.

I agree with you Los2188. Tssiemer, he is on the lamb. It is the US Marshals that are looking for him.

This is close to where I live. Working for a carnival is worrisome, so many "opportunities" in that kind of environment. According to NC criminal records, he was arrested for kidnapping a minor in 2005, which is when he became required to register as a sex offender. He also has various larceny arrests, a firearms related arrest and several motor vehicle offenses. He is listed as a US Marshals fugitive and an absconder from probation/parole. The last time his address was verified in the sex offender registry was 2009. LE have been looking for him for a number of years.

He is 34 years old, DOB is 8/30/1979. 5'9" and 140 lbs. Brown hair and brown eyes, his race is listed as "Indian" in the NC criminal records. I think he is probably Lumbee.
