Shane was at a Daquiri shop with his Brother. They both left and left in seperate cars. Shane's brother later called him to make sure he had gotten home okay and Shane told him he had been in a one vehicle accident and that he was not injured.

There has been no sign from him since.

His car was found located at:

near River Road and Marrero Road, in Marrero

His Brother (named Brett and the one that I referenced above) found one of his shoes in the mud near where the car was found.

Anyone with information is asked to call the JPSO at 504.364.5300

His brother says he talked with Shane shortly after he failed to make the turn on a winding stretch of River Road locals call "dead man's curve," near the old Celotex factory.

"I asked him if he was okay and he told me he was involved in a car accident," said Brett Fell. "He told me his car flipped over.

Family still searching.

According to the Facebook page, Texas Equusearch is on the ground searching today. A request for volunteers was posted on FB a few hours ago. (Sorry I didn't see it sooner.) Here's the contact info.

If you're in the neighborhood, you can stop by 522 Pailet St in Harvey, LA and give your information to the family.

Yesterday's search was unsuccessful in turning up clues. Now TES's Tim Miller is trying to obtain satellite images from NASA to aid the search for Shane. In the meantime, family, friends and volunteers continue their efforts to find him.

Texas search team joins search for missing Westbank man

The founder of Equusearch, Tim Miller, said this is one of the most perplexing missing persons cases he's seen.

He said he doubts Fell wound up in the Mississippi River and is instead working to get satellite images of the area from NASA in hopes they could lead to Fell.

Equusearch plans to meet with Jefferson Parish officials Monday morning.

The dogs went out four days after Shane went missing. By then, it had rained and the grass was mowed. The dogs were unsuccessful in finding anything.

Missing man's family refuses to give up hope

Shane Fell's face has been all over New Orleans for months. Since he disappeared in June, his image has been reproduced on countless fliers, signs and T-shirts. It has been etched in the hearts of family and friends attending candlelight vigils, benefit concerts and memory walks. And drivers crossing the Crescent City Connection see his photograph on an electronic billboard.

But despite all those efforts, the last clue about Fell's whereabouts was located not far from where he flipped his car near River and Marrero roads in Marrero on June 10. His brother, Brett Fell, found Fell's shoe in the mud near the wrecked car after his brother called to tell him about the crash 20 minutes after it happened and to report that he was OK.

Family offers reward for missing man

The family of a West Bank man who's been missing since June is offering up a big reward for any information that leads them to him. Shane Fell's family has reason to believe he's alive after more than one recent tip.

One year later, search continues for West Bank man

As Brett Fell pulls up to the scene where a crash happened nearly one year ago, it's apparent his life has changed a lot over the past year.

His white truck has a poster with his brother's name and picture. Inside, his two children, L, 5, and L, 3, sit patiently in the truck as he walks the tight curve on River Road.

They were very close to their uncle, Shane Fell, 36, until he disappeared after the crash.

"It has torn us apart," Brett Fell said. "We're still holding up hope that Shane is out there somewhere."

Signs still cover the fence near where Shane Fell went missing just after midnight on June 10, 2011. Deputies said Shane Fell was heading home after a night of billiards with Brett Fell and other friends.
