Dismembered Body Found In Plastic Containers In Backyard Shed

DETROIT (WWJ) Authorities in Detroit are trying to determine the identity of a person whose dismembered body was found in plastic containers inside a shed behind a home.

Police officer Adam Madera says Monday that the parts have been turned over to the medical examiner. They were found Friday night after a neighbor noticed an overwhelmingly foul odor and called 911...

When I read the article about the stolen skin grafts in the local paper, I immediately thought of this case too. But I'm guessing tattooed skin can't be used for grafts.

Per NamUs, the estimated date of death for the UID male recently found in the containers was only five days, so he likely has no connection to the parts found in the sewer in 2012.

I think that's the wrong dates (the Desha as opposed to Deisha).

No obituary, but I'm 95% sure that this Deisha Dodd is the granddaughter of well known reggae producer/etc Coxsone Dodd (he died in 2004). Here is her Photobucket: http://s159.photobucket.com/user/prettyd4life/library/?sort=3&page=1

Unfortunately, this doesn't get us MUCH closer to the UID, unless LE get in touch with Deisha's mother Carol in Brooklyn and ask if she perhaps had a white boyfriend or close male friend around the time of her death...

"DETROIT (AP) A medical examiner was trying Monday to determine the identity and cause of death for a person whose dismembered body was found encased in cement inside a shed behind a Detroit home.

The cut-up corpse was found Friday by a neighbor who noticed an overwhelming foul odor in the shed and called police, said officer Adam Madera, a Detroit police spokesman.

An officer discovered some of the parts after opening one of the containers. The gender of the person was not immediately known and the parts found "are believed to be the entire body," he said Monday."

I wonder if the name from the tattoo is transcribed correctly. I couldn't find a Deisha but I did find something on Raisha Cole, who was murdered in Detroit on that date (murder still unsolved):

I think that is worth submitting. Note that her name was Raisha Cole-Grace.

Thanks. I also found an Instagram post that references her murder, as well as what I think is her own MySpace page. She only had 19 friends though, and only one of the men appears to be white.

The photo of her in the red blouse in front of a mirror looks like the woman in the murder report, but the other photos don't. They don't all look like the same woman.

The comments on that Instagram post are...interesting. There seems to be a "he" that they all know who is.
