Many people are waiting for answers after a body was found in a canal in St. Lucie County on Monday. The St. Lucie Sheriff's Office says a woman's body was found in this canal off Indrio Road.

Sheriff Ken Mascara told WPTV he believes it's connected to a burned out car found in the area Sunday. That was ruled an arson.

WPTV asked a Sheriff's Office spokesperson Monday night whether the body has been identified. However, we were told that nothing will be released until Tuesday.

Are those tattoos on his forehead or is he wearing a bandanna?

The Sheriff’s Office says Feacher’s family reported a history of violence in the couple’s relationship...

The case is apparently one more example of domestic violence turned deadly. On Monday, police on the Treasure Coast and in Palm Beach County worked a total of four domestic murders.

“It’s heartbreaking we’ve had four deaths,” said Jill Borowicz, of SafeSpace, a domestic violence center serving Martin, St. Lucie, and Indian River counties. “Don’t wait to get help.”

"Detectives apprehended Mr. Music shortly before 11 p.m. Monday at the Quality Inn on State Road 70 in Fort Pierce," the Sheriff said. "He gave several different accounts of what happened to acquaintances we interviewed, but during our interview of Mr. Music, he admitted to killing Bridget Marie Feacher Music."

Detectives discounted many of Music's statements about the events of the weekend, the Sheriff said...

A deputy found Bridget Music's body Monday just before 4 p.m. in a canal parallel to Emerson Avenue, 1.6 miles south of Indrio Road northwest of Fort Pierce in unincorporated St. Lucie County. Her throat had been cut, and detectives noted defensive wounds to both of her hands.

Friends say Bridget Music was a loving mother who was always there for her friends. Her sister-in-law, Jacob Music's sister, calls Bridget "a beautiful person, inside and out."

Separately, Jacob Music and Bridget Feacher Music filed court-ordered injunctions against each other. In 2010, in an injunction that was approved by the judge, the wife claimed her husband tried to kill her.

A Fort Pierce man will spend the rest of his life in prison for killing his estranged wife.

Jacob Lee Music, 39, of the 2800 block of Reynolds Drive, pleaded guilty Friday to first-degree murder in St. Lucie County Circuit Court, according to a release from the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office. Circuit Judge James W. McCann accepted the plea and sentenced Music to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
