Addington was in Tulsa, Oklahoma in May 1984 to prepare for her wedding, which was scheduled for May 19. She was a resident of Dallas, Texas at the time. Addington attended a bachelorette party that a group of friends threw for her during the evening of May 15 at The Great Escape Club on 21st Street and Garnett Road in Tulsa. Her friends departed from the club at approximately midnight, but Addington chose to stay behind and find another ride home.

Addington's friends last saw her speaking to an unidentified Caucasian male inside the club. He was in his mid-twenties with collar-length brown hair parted in the center. The man was approximately 6'0" and 160 pounds with a medium build. He was wearing a green shirt.

Addington never arrived home that evening and has not been heard from again. Tulsa investigators have classified her disappearance as a suspected homicide. Her case remains unsolved.

Lisa is described as a white female, 22 years old, 5'8" tall and 125 pounds, with brown hair and green eyes. Last seen wearing a black, red, and blue plaid shirt with black pants and white knee-high socks.

So very tragic and three days before her wedding. If my memory serves me right, The Great Escape was a good sized place as I went to a concert there sometime in early 1985.

The whole "stay at the club and find another ride home" just runs all over me. Was she planning to meet another man there and leave with him?
I always thought that since her home wasn't located too far from the nightclub and also being in the area she grew up in and around, Lisa had enough comfort level to try and catch a ride home. But I can't help but think she stayed to hook up with someone.

I have the impression of two possibilities... she was really kidnapped against her will and murdered or the one I'm more inclined to believe is that she ran away with the man from the bar, the one in the green shirt... I don't know what her future husband would be like... maybe She regretted the marriage or she had a lover, someone special, I don't know...the man offered her a new life but she had to leave everything and leave immediately...maybe she lives in another country...a beautiful young woman ...
I think she may be alive and if not...
she rest in peace

Staying behind after midnight with no ride home unfortunately put Lisa in a vulnerable and possibly dangerous situation. From a few articles I've read suggest her fiancé may have had cold feet, but she wanted to move forward with the marriage. Bodies even after 30-40 years, have a way of turning up or being discovered. So that would give thought of her of being a literal runaway bride.
