Glenda Peterson was 40 years old when she disappeared after a Fourth of July celebration at Lake Thunderbird, 17 years ago.

Family members say Peterson was last seen riding in a dark pickup truck on Highway 9 with a strange man who wore a dark mustache.

Brandy Morton is Glenda Peterson's niece and has spearheaded a social media campaign that has turned up several recent leads on Facebook. "Somebody knows what happened," said Morton. "We just need a little piece of information that brings everything together."

Family Of Missing Norman Woman Hope For New Leads In Cold Case

Glenda Peterson, 40, has been missing since July 4, 1997. Peterson was last seen leaving Lake Thunderbird with a dark-haired man with a mustache, in a pickup truck.

Norman police told News 9 Palma was working as a groundskeeper at Lake Thunderbird at the time of Peterson’s disappearance.

The mystery of what happened to Glenda Peterson more than 20 years ago still plagues her family. The 40-year-old was with her youngest daughter, then 16, celebrating Independence Day on July 4, 1997 at Lake Thunderbird in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. According to the family, at the end of the night, Glenda accepted a ride from a man she met at the party. She handed her purse to her daughter and left without explanation. That was the last anyone saw of her. Glenda had a broken leg and was in a cast at the time.

Does anyone else believe she was murdered by Anthony Palma? He was convicted of murdering a young girl in 2017 who went missing only a few months before Glenda went missing. He even worked at the location Glenda went missing (Lake Thunderbird), and he matched witness descriptions. He drove a pickup truck at the time too. I dont believe Kirsten Hatfield was his only victim unfortunately.
