Columbia Police Department seeking information on missing man

A Columbia woman reported her son missing to the Columbia Police Department after not seeing him for a month. The CPD announced Tuesday that Jonathan Wayne Edmond Jr. has been missing since May 15, 2014. His mother filed a report June 15. The 27-year-old was last seen leaving a home at the 300 block of Eerie Street in Columbia.

His mother, Rosa Breeland, said Edmond, Jr. is frequently active on Facebook, but his account has now gone silent.

Breeland said she has also attempted to contact him on his cell phone, but it would "go to voice mail"...

Edwards is 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighs 120 pounds. He has brown eyes and black hair.

CPD fears 'kind-hearted' man missing since 2014 is dead

Police fear a man who went missing nearly four years ago may not be found alive.

Investigators with the Columbia Police Department’s Cold Case Unit are revisiting this missing person’s case, and they’re hoping the public can help them get some answers.

Medical Conditions Edmond suffers from diabetes and needs medication. He also suffers from hip dysplasia, deformity of the hip joint that can cause stiffness and pain.
Distinguishing Characteristics African-American male. Black hair, brown eyes. Edmond has had partial finger and toe amputations due to his diabetes.

Details of Disappearance
Edmond was last seen in the vicinity of Two Notch Road and School House Road in Columbia, South Carolina sometime in early June 2014. He had recently moved in with a female friend near Farrow Road and Marshall Street. He has never been heard from again. Because he moved around often and sometimes dropped out of sight, he wasn't reported missing until June 15.

Foul play is suspected in Edmond's disappearance; authorities believes he was murdered. His case remains unsolved.
