Oscar Pistorius: South Africa gears up for its 'trial of the century'

(CNN) -- He was one of South Africa's favorite sons, an amputee track star who defied all the odds and sprinted into the hearts of millions during the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. She was a staggering beauty with the brains to match, a law graduate and model whose star was on the rise.

Just want to say I am excited to be here live for the trial. Until now, I've watched every session on YouTube because it is middle of the night here in NM. So, greetings everyone from Las Cruces, New Mexico, USA:seeya:

Good morning everyone.

Yesterday Gerrie Nel mentioned a photograph of OP's legs uncovered on the beach.

One thing all the defense witnesses we've had since Monday have tried to emphasize is the fact that OP always kept his legs covered in public when he wasn't wearing them. So I went to Google Images and typed in "Oscar legs" and got these...

Thanks, zwie. Looks good enough to..well, eat. :)

And thank you for the link in the old thread that lead me here.

Could be an interesting day today. The Defense might conclude their case and there is a lot if speculation that the State might apply to reopen their case.

Good morning from Louisiana, USA! It's 2:25 in the morning here.

I missed yesterday, but watched later on.

Gosh, just remembered we've got more Oldwage to come.

I didn't like the way he dealt with Nel's objection yesterday. He said he was surprised Nel objected, but happened to have the relevant case law to support his argument in front of him.

Good morning, Good Afternoon and Good Evening from a very Bonnie Scotland today!

Prof Derman and Oldwage again. We are at page 43 of the report.....wonder how long it is.

Back to flight or fight lectures again. :(

back to the brain and neurotransmitters and adrenaline bursts ....

Prof D describing physical 'primitive' responses of the body......hey, he must have read here!

He just mentioned the freeze response too, which one of our posters yesterday highlighted he had missed out.
