At about 5 p.m. Saturday, state police in Morgantown contacted Hardy County troopers after the arrest of Joseph Christy, 32, and Summer McDaniel, 26, both of Missouri.

Police had noticed a suspicious vehicle parked at Sheetz in Sabraton and soon learned it had been stolen. After a brief chase along Interstates 68 and I-79, Christy was arrested without incident. Four children ages 11, 7, 4 and 2 were also found in the car. Christy and McDaniel were both charged with child neglect. None of the children was wearing seatbelts.

During the investigation troopers learned Christy allegedly had killed an infant child and buried the baby at a campsite in Hardy County. At about 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Christy led troopers to the shallow grave of his 26-day-old son Ashter Christy, whose body was sent to the state Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy.

West Virginia State Police have served arrest warrants on Joseph A. Christy and Summer L. McDaniel in the case of their 26-day-old infant’s death.

The warrants obtained in Hardy County Magistrate Court were for the charges of child neglect resulting in death, concealment of a dead human body and conspiracy to commit a felony. The couple’s four other children are in the custody of the state Department of Health and Human Resources.

From February 2015:

Summer Lynn McDaniel and Joseph Allen Christy were convicted recently of involuntary manslaughter and other charges in the death of their 26-day-old son who was found buried in a shallow grave in the George Washington National Forest in Hardy County this past summer...

She is to serve less than a year on the involuntary manslaughter charge, not less than three years or more than 15 for child neglect resulting in death, and not less than one year or more than five for other charges.

Christy will be sentenced at a later date.

Couldn't find any MSM on his sentence. Per West Virginia DOC records, his projected release date is July 5, 2019, so he didn't get much:
