A bureaucratic mix-up has resulted in over 14,000 military draft orders being sent out in PA - to men born between 1893 -97. That would make the youngest man called up around 117 years today.

Funnier still is that the draft has been dormant since the Vietnam War anyhow.

Funnier still is that those people of PA sure keep track of their family history, stick around and take their duties to their ancestors seriously - the agency got a lot of replies from concerned relatives:

'Chuck Huey, 73, of Kingston, Pennsylvania, said he got a notice addressed to his late grandfather Bert Huey, a World War One veteran who was born in 1894 and died in 1995 age 100.'

"I said, 'Geez, what the hell is this about?' It said he was subject to heavy fines and imprisonment if he didn't sign up for the draft board," Mr Huey told the Associated Press news agency.

......:jail::truce:

Must have been a typo..1893 instead of 1993.....they must be pretty meticulous with their records to get 14,000 names from 100 yers ago.

They must be getting short of men wanting to join the armed forces.
