FCSO Detectives are looking for anyone with information on a homicide that occurred in Prairie Township on July 17th. The victim, William David Keen, was shot in the area of Oxley Road and Palmetto Street. We are looking for information regarding a white 4 door midsize sedan with a sunroof that was captured on video surveillance turning onto Oxley Road off of West Broad Street just moments before the homicide occurred. This vehicle of interest would have been in the area around 2:00am on July 17th.

A Prairie Township man who was 17 when a handyman was fatally shot in a botched robbery will be prosecuted as an adult on murder charges, a Franklin County Juvenile Court judge ruled on Wednesday.

Jafet Anel Medrano, now 19, admitted that prosecutors have enough evidence to show probable cause, or a reasonable belief, that he was involved in the killing of William David Keen...

[Bryan] Mathews, 20, was indicted in June with one count of aggravated robbery, kidnapping, aggravated murder, tampering with evidence and two counts of murder. His trial is set to begin on Feb. 22 in Franklin County Common Pleas Court.

Medrano, now 19, pleaded guilty in Franklin County Common Pleas Court to one count of murder. Charges of aggravated robbery and kidnapping and gun specifications were dismissed as part of the plea agreement...

Mathews, 20, is scheduled for trial on April 18.

A 20-year-old man was sentenced on Wednesday to 19 years in prison after admitting that he served as the driver for a robbery attempt that turned deadly nearly two years ago in Prairie Township.

Bryan N. Mathews pleaded guilty to one count each of involuntary manslaughter, kidnapping and tampering with evidence, all with gun specifications, in the death of a 49-year-old handyman.
