Newlywed Bob Harrod's been missing five years today, and I wanted to find a story about marriage that would make people smile. I think this one will.
94 year-olds Jessie and Alvin Bolich of Idaho celebrate their 74th Wedding Anniversary tomorrow, 28th July.They were young sweethearts in Nebraska during the Great Depression, and he picked her up on a tractor for one of their earliest dates. A long, loving marriage hasn't made them sentimental though: Just look at their answer when the journalist asks the obvious question at the end of the article.
'And I had to ask, What is the key to staying married for so long?
Just like I told my grandson, Dont talk back, Alvin said.
