She's been posting her mother's story and picture on her Facebook page. Two days ago, she got a message from a homeless advocate on Skid Row in L.A.

"There was a sighting of her on the corner of Town and 5th," she said.

She's going to LA Wednesday morning to find her mother. She's going to hand out chocolate bars with her mother's picture to the homeless. She's also taking them supplies. Even if she doesn't find her mother, she wants to spread awareness of the plight of the homeless.

Her daughter, Robin Burton live in Illinois. Earlier this year, Burton made a trip to Southern California to search for her mother at area homeless shelters.

Collinsville woman helps the homeless — and searches for missing mom

Robin Burton thinks of her mother every time she hands out supplies to the homeless or visits a tent city.

“Not everyone who is homeless is on drugs or alcohol,” said Burton, 44, of State Park in Collinsville, who leads a non-profit organization called Missing & Homeless 618. “There are people who have lost their jobs. There are people who are mentally ill. There are runaways who were kicked out of the house. Everybody has a story. It’s not our place to judge.”

Burton’s mother, Cloudia “Leslie” Wells, disappeared from Maryville 21 years ago. She is believed to be schizophrenic.

Burton has followed leads in multiple states, trying to find Wells, who would be 62 if alive. Burton recently found evidence that she may be in Southern California.

“I know that’s my mom,” Burton said, pointing to a photo of a bundled-up homeless woman. “I don’t care who she says she is. She’s used aliases throughout her life.”

I have been working with Cloudia's daughter, Robin and we have an updated flyer for her:

Robin is great, isn't she? I want nothing more than for her to have her mother back :( She does so much for everyone else. Her turn is well overdue.

Im not seeing her as rule outs for most unidentified in California. Has she been submitted as a match for any of these?

[h=1]Woman missing for 23 years seen in Chico[/h]
A woman who has been missing for 23 years may soon be reunited with her family.

People say they've seen her in Chico, and now the community is on the lookout.

Claudia Wells has been missing since 1995 from Maryville, Illinois. She's 64 years old, a little more than 5 feet tall, weighs about 150 pounds, suffers from mental health issues, and has either a wheelchair or a walker.
23-years-ago on Christmas night was the last time Claudia’s daughter, Robin, saw her mom.

“She just wants to say ‘I love you, you matter, I miss you,’” said Robin’s friend Jacki Dirksmeyer, who is helping look for Claudia.

Jacki runs a nonprofit called Feed My Peeps, which serves the homeless in the community.
Jacki says people have seen Claudia at the Torres shelter, the Jesus center, at McDonalds, and on the street in downtown Chico, which is why everyone is very hopeful that she will soon be found.

Robin says once someone positively identifies her mom, she will fly here from Minnesota and start looking for her as well.

I am friends with Cloudia's daughter, Robin and she always keeps everyone up to date with what is happening in her mothers case. She just recently did a video update on FB. It just breaks my heart to see another hurdle getting in her way. She always appears so strong through this. I just want her to get her chance to find her mother.

Following on from this, there was an individual who contacted me to say that she knew Cloudia while she was homeless in CA a few years back. She shared some nice memories of Cloudia (who at the time, called herself Diane).

Cloudia's daughter, Robin, has posted today that she has been able to confirm that her mother is still alive. Unfortunately, Cloudia does not wish to see her at this time.
