The verdict comes more than three decades after the Maoist regime's fall.

'To date, no top-level leader has faced justice. The Khmer Rouge leader Pol Pot died in 1998.'
Nuon Chea is 88, and Khieu Samphan is 83

I don't know what the sentence will be, (life is sought) but at their age, any jail term may mean life. For anyone unsure of the scale of the crimes these men committed, here's a link to the Killing Fields Museum site. Be warned, it is distressing. The clue's in the name.
